it's aturdy and not so wide. it's good for anyone living in a small room and it's not bad for the otherwise situation as well. For me it serves its purpose good.
For light weight lifting this will serve its purpose. But has some fatal design flaws Pros: 1. Price - very competitive price for a bench with rack 2. Installation - Not the simplest but not overly complex and good instructions and pieces labeled by package. 3. Looks - Looks very nice once assembled Cons: 1. QC control issues - The lever for the leg exercises is leaning towards the left and uninstalled and reinstalled tried to align and realign and it is just how it just is leaning towards that side based on the weld. Measure both sides and one is about 1 to 2 cm welded closer. This could affect appropriate form for leg exercises 2. Flimsy - when moving the bench it shakes. It does not feel very sturdy. As of this time not a deal breaker since I have used it a couple of times. But I’m concerned about longevity and safety 3. Safety - This is a BIIIG one! The rail racks as removable to adjust as one expects. But they come off with very little effort, 8 out of ten times when removing the bar to do bench presses rack rails/holders come off if I’m wearing gloves or have my hands to close to the rack. They should have a a lock mechanism to prevent them from accidentally coming off. VERY VERY DANGEROUS. I will be drilling a hole from on side to another to create an anchor to prevent this from happening but this is a terrible oversight and makes this very unsafe especially if you are going to be using this by yourself since not all of us can have a spotter. Summary: It is as the title states, acceptable. Based on the price ($123 at time of review). I could live with it because I can make some small modifications for the safety concerns. And I do not plan on using more than 150 lbs when I bench press currently. For most beginners this will be ok (as long as you always use it with a spotter!!) for heavier weight lifting I would look elsewhere.
the bench itself is easy to put together and sturdy. The rack holders and safty pins are junk. The slightest bumb of the rack holders and they fall. Thankfully my son wasnt seriously injured. I would not recommend using this without a spotter to fix it everytime unless you want a trip to the hospital. I will be returning it.
It seems like a good deal for the money, leg lift bar and also bench/rack setup. But the bar holders themselves on the rack fall off at the slightest bump, which could be seriously deadly if it happens at the wrong time. I’d save up a little extra and look elsewhere.
DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU PLAN ON THROWING SOME SHEET METAL SCREWS IN THE ADJUSTABLE BAR HEIGHTS. OR DRILL HOLES FOR PINS!!! Lifted the weight off the bar holder and it came off. Had i not been able to handle the weight , roll it down my chest and throw it to the side it would have KILLED ME!! I made a formal complaint. They are aware of this defect!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. This product is just an accident waiting to happen. The bolts are very loose when assembling even though I followed all directions in the handbook. For the price I paid this is a very cheap and non sturdy product! The bolts are also missing as well and it’s also very crooked and I’ve done every trick in the handbook to make sure it wasn’t but unfortunately that’s how the product was made. I’m unhappy how the product came in. You are also unable to tighten the bolts so everything is just loose and wobbly I do not recommend this! Save your money from buying this product cause if I can give this zero stars I would ! Your best bet would be going to big 5 and getting a better sturdy one !!! I also had to add stuff of my own to fix the weights .
Product was damaged and part was missing. I reached out to the manufacturer to obtain the missing bolt and it was not replaceable. They couldn't send the part but wanted me to ship the entire bench back after it was already assembled. Multiple emails back and forth with no resolution for several weeks. Horrible customer service!
Unsafe. The rack holders fall off at the slightest bump. The “locks” that hold the bar down while changing out weights are junk. It often slips off and then your barbell and weights are slamming to the ground. And the leg extension is too close to the ground.
the metal clip on "adjustable" weight carriers (the parts that hold the barbell up) will come lose and fall to the bottom of the upright if you just lightly tap them from underneath with the bar, so if you hit one of them or both on the way up with the bar, then you are in trouble., laying there with whatever weight you are bench pressing on your chest with nothing to rest it on anymore. be very careful with this very dangerous design. never lift alone with this bench. I affixed mine so they would stay in place, learned the hard way and was lucky to have someone to come help me out of the fine mess I got myself in. I do not reccomend buying this bench.
I got two of the same bars and I'm trying to get a hold of customer service which seems next to impossible to get a receipt from Walmart. for my online order and getting a hold of their customer service for this weight bench is next to impossible as well. So I have it but I can't use it. right now I'm not a happy customer.
