This ditalini pasta is exactly what I was looking for. It's very hard to find, so I was very happy to get it from Walmart. I like this type of pasta for macaroni salad as well as to put in soups, rather than the elbow macaroni.
I would rather have a macaroni salad with this short macaroni rather than the elbows. The Ditalini holds the dressing better, easier to get more variety of the salad in one spoonful also. One third 1/3 cup equals 1 1/4 One and a fourth cups cooked. I usually use one whole dry measure cup for a salad so we'll have left overs for the next day. Remember 1/3 cup = 1 1/4 cups cooked.
I buy two kinds of pasta - fresh %26 dried. When I don't plan in advance, I use dried and Barilla is my choice, as I can find many different shapes %26 sizes - like the Ditalini.
Like using Ditalini for Pasta Fazool(when I have it). ; ) Nothing off, to say about this brand. Cooked up quickly and texture was just fine(will purchase this brand again). So YES, I recommend this product.
Just used a box of these to make my beloved Mother In Laws Italian Noodle Stuffing. They are really good noodles. My husband likes to make his own Tuna Salad with them as well. Great all around noodles.
Ordered 4 pack (boxes) Ditalini pasta oddly one box was shipped separate then other three boxes came together. Prices were separated but added up to what I had ordered.
I bought this pasta for a recipe. I do not care for it myself. I prefer fresh pasta over boxed, but who has time to make it. These noodles are so tiny you could choke on them. My dog loves buttered pasta and he did not like these either.
Complained in help site. Was told to return broken boxes to store or back to FedEx or Post Office. That is an inconvenience to me. If you want them back send someone to pick it up at my house. If I wanted to go out I would have gone to the store myself to pick the pasta up. Bag looked like it was run over by a car.
Items were damaged and busted open inside of delivery packaging. This is the second time on this order that was damaged upon delivery. Our ring doorbell shows the delivery person just tossing the package onto a table by our front door. Package was not handled with care and after 2 consecutive items being delivered broken and damaged I'm now extremely disappointed in the"service" we have received. It's completely unacceptable. Sure it's only pasta this time but it's the principle and obvious that there is a flaw or disconnect somewhere in the shipping chain. Never had these issues with other Supermarkets or department stores. I would be livid if this were an expensive item and it was actually delivered to me in less than right off the shelf or display condition. We won't be using the service for awhile or ever again. Walmart delivery is a coin flip, maybe you get it in one piece Maybe it's in pieces... delivered by FedEx
Check your items to ensure it's correct before leaving. There were no substitutions on this order, so what I received should have been what was ordered.
