This was my first time trying this noodle. I am hooked, these have lots of protein, calcium, magnesium, potassium and zinc. 3.5 ounce serving has 21 grams of protein with is 1/3 to 1/2 the needed daily amount. The flavor is mildly nutty, the texture a little more firm that regular noodles at 8 minutes boil. I like these better than traditional because they don't get slimy and I can use any sauce from butter to marinara and they are delicious. I recommend the chickpea noodles and in my opinion they are healthier for me. And, there is no gluten for those who are sensitive to it.
I avoided this for a long time because I thought it would end up a soggy mess since it's just chickpeas and no stabilizers or anything. But I was super impressed with how it holds up. Even as leftovers. I eat gf for gi reasons and my bf needs the added fiber and protein. Win-win.
This is surprisingly good. We wanted a more healthy and lower carb alternative and this did not disappoint. I've tried Banza and it's not bad either. My kids enjoyed this too and never knew the difference! It's literally Triple the price of regular pasta but the health benefits outweigh the cost. Happy we purchased this.
This is a nice gluten-free pasta. Better than another brand because it has only one ingredient: chickpeas (garbanzo beans), and it is less expensive.
Love it!! My husband and I were looking for a healthy pasta that didn't make you feel bogged down in the stomach and we found it! Used it with tomato sauce and spinach, delicious!!!
Maybe you usually expect pasta not to have much of a taste at all and depend on the sauce for that, but with this the chickpea taste is very pronounced, is good for hot or cold pasta dishes, and terribly healthy.
I love that I can have low carb pasta, that comes pretty close to flour pasta. My wife an I really like it. It's a bit more filling than regular flour pasta, But if you're going low carb this is great! Easy to cook, tastes great!
I'm pretty picky and this tastes good. Not amazing but good and once the sauce is on I don't notice a difference. Someone told me that they tried chickpea noodles and had to wipe them because they were gooey or something. I said I've never had to do that with the brand I eat.
This chickpea pasta is a wonderful protein-packed substitute for gluten-containing pasta. My daughter can't eat any grain products and loves this. It works well in casseroles and pasta salads. I find that if I slightly undercook it (for less time than the directions on the box say), it holds together well. Most people don't realize they aren't eating "regular" pasta when I serve this. Also, we love that there are very few ingredients in this pasta - unusual in a processed food!
We have used several different protien pastas, so when this was substituted on our grocery order, I wasn't worried. First issue came that the box is only 8.5 oz but was subbed for a 16oz box. Next issue, it does not cook the same as any other pasta. It is soggy, and puts off this pasty type stuff into the water. It also has the taste and texture of wet cardboard. Worst pasta, ever.
