I'll start out with a disclaimer, I haven't coated a truck bed with this product. I use it to restore badly faded plastic car trim and it works amazing for that. You give it a light mist and it puts down a coat that is similar in texture to the original plastic and restores the nice black color. It is more durable than paint and adheres very well, and being made for a truck bed, it keeps its color and texture for a long time. It can make an older car look much newer and nicer by improving the look of the rough plastic parts, and it doesn't fade out fast or wash off like the various dyes or recoloring products that you see for trim restoration. I've also used it along the rocker panels of an older 4x4 SUV that had some rust repair. It seems to hold up well to rock chips and the texture looked like it was OEM (some vehicles come this way). The added benefit was with the texture it didn't have to perfectly match the original 20 year old black paint, so no blending was required. Sorry I can't speak as to how well it works for truck beds, but I think it would probably be fine for an average pickup that goes to HD on the weekends.
Sprays very well and is very forgiving. Overall great finish. Now to see how long it lasts.
This pro grade bed liner is better than the non pro type. Both are good products but the pro I purchased here is definitely better made and seems to look better after applied.
Pretty good stuff like any rustoleum product I've ever used. Makes a slip resistant surface and dries quick. I even used some on the steps of my house to make it nonslip.
This bed coating seems to be holding up good. I didn't use it for the whole bed, only to touch up a few spots on a coating that was professionally sprayed on. Don't believe it would be a good choice to coat a whole bed because it would take at least 10 or 12 cans to get thick enough and still probably wouldn't be as tough as a Rino or Line-X coating. The Rust-Oleum did a great job on the spots that were skinned up on my Line-X coating.
not bad. like raptor liner better but this is a lot easier to use wish it had a rougher texture
This was my second order of the product. First order was perfect. So, I ordered more to use on another vehicle and second coat the first vehicle. T my surprise, both cans "belched" out some of the project leaving blobs of product very visible...I am assuming, it was my fault, temperature was 80 degrees outside, nozzle could have been an issue... I am ordering two more cans to overspray the project.
Sanded down and scuffed up a brand new primed bumper and sprayed on as instructed. Boating peels right off. Sent. Multiple emails to Rust-Oleum without any response. Not right.
In my opinion this is just like black primer. It doesn't go on any thicker or thinner than any other paint. There is no texture. There is no filler. It is just basic black primer with a different name and price.
I sprayed it just like it says to do and it is already coming off . very disappointedl
