love this little coffee maker, i am the only one in the house that drinks decaf, so i have to drink instant coffee since the other coffee maker is used for regular, So many features i like, the travel mug holds 12oz, perfect to take with. Black and Decker never disappoints, Great price compared to the other single serve makers
Quick coffee, east to use, coffee hot! They all work good initially. The question is, how long will it last. That's the problem with all of them. Planned obsolescence.
Love it for just one cup the travel cup is just the right size. Not wasting money on making too much coffee and not drinking it. Easy and quick to use. Only takes up a small amount of space. I take it in my Travel Trailer too.
It does have a tendency to drip a little bit longer after the light goes out so I just put a cup underneath with a spoon in. I clean it every 2 weeks with vinegar water, it works fantastic.
Works well. Product on Walmart's site says it has a built in coffee grinder. It does not, and that's not listed on the features if you read further. Real handy for hotels that don't give you a coffee pot. And I was able to take it in my airline carry on.
This is the second on of these that I've had. The first one lasted YEARS and served up 1000's of cups of HOT fresh coffee for me. In the last fer months of the first one's life it sounded like Mt. St. Helen's at full eruption but it still worked! Also this is the very first mug that's come w/ a coffee-maker that I've bought that doesn't leak!
This coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee and that's the most important thing. My problem is that my normal size coffee mugs do not fit in the small receptacle at the bottom where you are supposed to put a mug. It does fit for a travel cup, which they provide. If you use the plastic or your own travel cup, things work fine but if you use a regular sized mug, it's wobbly and you get a lot of splashing of coffee. I don't want to drink coffee out of a plastic mug or have to make it in the plastic Marg and then pour it into my own coffee cup. But it's easy to use aside from that and the coffee tastes fine.
BLACK DECKER Single Serve Coffee Maker, Black, CM618 Pros: Does what it promises—brews a single cup. Cons / Caveats: Included cup is plastic, poor insulation. Hot coffee plastic = not ideal. Swap for a stainless-steel lined cup. Water tank is all plastic and gets very hot. Another potential issue with heat plastic. Slight bumps may cause water leakage from the dispenser. No off switch, so you'll have to unplug it to turn it off fully. Bottom line: Works, but upgrade the cup and consider a higher-quality stainless-steel model if you can.
Got this to replace 15 year old black and decker single serve. The base where the mug sits is uneven so not all mugs fit. Why not just make it flat so mugs don't sit unevenly? Also, the button is on the side which makes it difficult to access, especially when pressing with one hand.
I didn't have high expectations at this price point, but I did expect better quality from this brand. This is one of the most flimsy, cheap products I've ever purchased. The only reason it has two stars is because it actually brewed a cup of coffee. However, it was slower than my percolator and with enough mess I'll need to put a hand towel under it if I use it!
