I had bought 3 flattop grill previously , blue rhino came damaged from Lowes had to return it with horrific customer service. Then I have a Blackstone from B.J. come completely destroyed on almost all manufacturing and had to return that as well and fight for my money back. Then we ordered from nexgrill and during assembly yet again we notice the actual flattop part is dented and wont assemble properly so we send that back! Now we finally get to THIS flattop grill delivered freight shipped from Walmart never in a store, brand new and during assembly everything was turning out fine except for some dents in the cosmetics of cheaper parts which we called and they took off the shipping price which was fair. We have since used this grill every single day its a game changer for the grilling industry. The design and overall function is way beyond the competitors and Ill guarantee you that after having built 4 recently.
We have a 17 inch that we use in the 5th wheel and fell in love with it. When we got home we needed one for here, and found this 28 inch at Walmart. We have had it less than a week and have used it 3 times. It is awesome!! Time to sell the grill. Can cook anything on the Blackstone, blueberry pancakes this weekend. Having dual burners makes a huge difference. It came unassembled, but was incredibly easy to put together. My neighbor came over to help, but he wasnt needed. He commented on how well designed it was and the quality. It is great having the large tank, a shelf enclosed. It is a great buy for the price. We will use it often!! Would recommend this unit to everyone!
Thoroughly enjoying my new Blackstone Griddle. Very easy to assemble and set up. It can be done with 1 person, but I recommend 2, especially for the placing of the griddle on top of the base (Heavy). The griddle heats up quite evenly. I was concerned about it only having 2 zones, but each zone has 2 burner tubes so it has great coverage. I love having the lid to both help protect the griddle top as well as have more radiant heat when cooking things like chicken breasts. The magnetic tool bar, paper towel holder, and trash bag rim are great additions. Side Note: I used the Blackstone Natural Gas conversion kit on this Griddle since I have a natural gas spigot on my back porch. Works great with high heat output without having to keep swapping out Propane tanks.
Was hesitant because I had never used an outdoor griddle. Brother in law has tried to convince me for years I would love it. He was right. I love the practical use of this grill. I cook, use the large Blackstone scraper to scrape clean while hot, coat with Oi͏l and turn off the Gas. Griddle is perfect the next time i go to cook. I weigh out 4oz hamburger and use the blackstone press and whiskey burger seasoning. Great everytime. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, flat iron steak, home fries, beef for tacos, peppers and onions, its all great and can be cooked at the same time. I was worried about just getting the 28” vs 36”. I am not disappointed at all. It actually has more cooking surface area than my 4 burner charbroil grate grill, which i will let go in a yardsale or trash pickup. Be cautious when covering/uncovering the grill. I knocked the grease trap off the back once trying to cover. I still like its position better than the original. I would suggest for new users to pick up a infared thermometer. The knobs are hard to make even. I find 375-400 to be mt preferred temperatures to cook. Move things back and forth between hot spots once you figure out where they are. I cooked burgers for my sons 2 year birthday. Had 12 guests. Still plenty of space to feed all and cook burgers quick. I would not hesitste to make this purchase again. Just have to use it and you will love it
Love the look of this Pro series Blackstone 28 inch grill. It has a very quality finish. The added features of double shelves with tool hangers on both. Plus the magnetic tool support on the front left side shelf. The cabinet doors that hide the gas tank finish the awsome look. Cooking is fun and the food is amazing.
Awesome griddle! Make sure you season it with vegetable oil, will make all the difference in the world! We have had breakfast (eggs and pancakes), cajun food, hamburgers!! LOVE IT!!
This griddle is built like a brick house. Very solid and very heavy. You will need store help or a friend to get this into your SUV/Pickup. The box is huge (35"Wide X 41" Long X 22" High). Just barely fit into the back of my 2020 Equinox. Won't fit into any trunk of any car that I know of. Relatively easy to assemble except I had to ask my wife for help to place the Hood/Griddle onto the frame. Only because I didn't want to scratch it. That is what I told her at least. Packaged very well and all parts in the box were in perfect condition. Have not cooked on it yet but I expect it will be great as Blackstone Griddles have a great reputation.
This is the first griddle I have purchased, and I am enjoying this this purchase. It heats up quickly and evenly, and is easy to clean after use. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a 36" griddle.
Overall, this is a decent griddle. The iron cookspace is good and heats evenly. However, for $275 I'd make a few changes. The workmanship leaves a bit to be desired. The lid hinge mechanism is clunky and uncomfortable. You cannot close the lid smoothly, and you have to finesse and wiggle it shut. I'd also get rid of the two fixed wheels and add multidirectional locking casters all around to make moving the unit around much easier. One of the doors sits lower than the other and will occasionally swing open, and the metal fixed wheel guards were ALL bent. I had to beat and bend the tar out of them to get the wheels in.
After unpacking the ProSeries... it had a severe dent in the right lower side... Does not effect it's function... After much effort we pounded out the dent... The inside shelf mounts also took adjusting as shelf could not connect due to dent bending the back hook... The last thing to do was to place cast iron grill into pin slots and slide to lock into the front slot... Well.. that too is not locking like it should... Called Blackstone only to find out cabinet was a WalMart item, and the grill was Made by Blackstone.... We actually found some hardware that fit in back slot to prevent grill top from trying to move forward and disconnect from cabinet... Should have returned it .... but we felt we could make it right.... Sad that damage occurred.... I feel the Blackstone grill is a quality grill... wish there was touchup paint... Even a discount for a less than perfect grill... We have done what we could to make this work. Have included a picture of damage.
