Blue Wave 18' UV Resistant Round Pool Cover for Above-Ground Pools

We ordered this for our new above ground circular pool which is 22' diameter. This blanket did not come in that size, so we purchased the 24' and measured and cut to fit. We also just setup a solar panel kit, and the water temp. went up to 82 very quickly. We have had other solar blankets in blue, but read the clear will give even more heat, we are happy with this purchase.

This solar blanket works great! It was too large for our pool so we cut it down and it didn't damage it at all. It warms up the pool during the day and keeps it warm over night. It's a nice medium weight plastic so it's not too difficult to get it in and out of the pool.

Never used this brand or color before, always purchased from a local pool company due to the size I needed-24' round. I have had it for about two weeks and it is doing the job. Less dirt and debris in the water, immediately helped in heating the pool up and keeping it. It's been cloudy, cool and windy here so it greatly helps. Price was good. I do like the clear coloring vs the blue.

We recently purchased a 28'x52" round above ground swimming pool. we were reluctant about adding a heater to it due to the expense and work of it all. instead, we thought we would try this solar blanket and see if that would be sufficient. it has satisfied all our expectations. the pool water does heat up at least 10-15 degrees warmer. without it, the water temp was around 74. now, it has been as warm as 86! easy to put on and take off - just roll it up and roll it back out - can even do it alone.

Fits the pool great. I have been using this cover now for about two weeks and it has made a big difference in my water temperature. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a solar cover that works.

I would say that this product is basically a extra-extra thick, extra big sheet of bubble wrap. It will probably last a few seasons, then will need replaced. I'm glad I chose this one over the thinner blue version. Now I need to get a reel to get it off and on the pool!

Easy to put on and take off with 2 people. Increased the pool water by 2 degrees within 24 hours with highs in mid 80's and lows in mid 60's at night. It is a bit pricey for a glorified bubble wrap cover, but it does the job. The best feature is the ease of taking it on/off and it sits on top of the water nicely.

I needed a new solar cover for my pool as my previous blue cover was disintegrating and becoming a complete mess. This cover said it would raise the temp several degrees. After about 2 hrs of using it, the temp had gone up about 2 degrees, which was a good start. It truly does heat all the way down, unlike my old blue cover which heated a lot about 2-3 inches on the top, but the rest of the pool was cold. I disagree with another reviewer about this being a cheap bubble wrap cover that was glued together. Its a good quality vinyl bubble blanket. Another reviewer said it did a poor job of keeping debris out. This is not intended as a debris cover. Its main purpose is to heat the water a bit, and if it keeps a few leaves and bugs out, that's a bonus. It floats on top of the water to heat it, and it does a good job. Yes, you will have the debris that's on top of the blanket drop into the water if you don't remove it before taking it off. A simple dip with the skimmer will take care of it all. And I can't speak highly enough about the awesome site to store service! I love it! Its truly a wonderful feature that Walmart offers and it keeps me coming back for online purchases again and again. This pool cover/solar blanket works great but it''s nothing but heavy-duty bubble wrap hot-glued together. Great idea, one that works--it certainly keeps the pool warmer and cleaner and works better than the blue one I had previously--but paying $50 for it, that is the part where I feel cognitive dissonance. I would only grumble a little at $29.95 (for the manufacturer needs to be paid something for the good quality bubble wrap and glue) but at the higher price, it feels like I've been been taken advantage of.
