Bob's Red Mill Organic Whole Grain Buckwheat, 16 oz

Often touted as the staple food of Eastern Europe, buckwheat is great as a hot breakfast cereal (similar to oatmeal) or served as a savory side in place of rice or cous cous. It has a wonderful rich nutty taste. (Look up Kasha and Soba noodles) You're gonna love it because Bob's Red Mill is the best! I've been purchasing Bob's products for decades.

I fix half a cup of buckwheat with 1 cup of water, boil it, turn down temp and let it simmer with closed lid for about 10-15 minutes. Very simple, when the water is gone, the buckwheat is done. I put it in a closed container into the fridge and spoon out each morning the amount I need for my super power breakfast: mix buckwheat with rolled oats, hemp seeds, ground flax seeds, almond milk, coconut milk yogurt, fruit, a shot of almond milk. monk fruit sweetener and whatever fruits I have available. It tastes delicious and keeps me full until about 2pm. And sometimes I use it instead of rice in soup or stir-fry. Buckwheat is an "ancient" grain and brings the benefits of protein and amino acids to your bowl or plate

I have never had Buckwheat before so was surprised at how good it is, but was disappointed with the high price of it. I do not like to order food from Amazon due to the non air conditioned trucks it is shipped in, so a cheaper bag of this will not be possible.

Bob's Red Mill, Organic, Whole Grain Red Bulgar is such a delicious side dish or added to soup or makes great salads. Red Bulgar has a nice amount of plant protein of 4g %26 5g of fiber per 1/4 cup serving. The recommend daily allowance of fiber is between 25 to 34 grahms daily. This only takes 12 minutes to cook which is mush lass time than for other grains that take 20 mins. to 55 minutes. This grain is full of nutrients!

Tastes like hominy but in really small pieces, I love it. It was referred to me as something I could eat with my low functioning kidneys.

I am very much enjoying this buckwheat.

I had purchased the buckwheat hot cereal several times. When I reordered, the app said I'd purchased this before, but I received the whole grains, not the cut, hot cereal. They aren't interchangeable. The whole grains are okay if that's what you want, but the app was deceiving.
