Lock is extremely durable but the shaft was too large for my needs, it wouldn't fit so I had to return it. I would have definitely kept it if it would fit my two gates

This Brinks padlock is a solid heavy duty quality lock. Why, it weighs almost one pound; the heaviest padlock of my entire life. Its long open shackle makes for ease of use in the different settings. It is made of boron alloy metal, its body is two inches wide, while the locking mechanism features a 4-pin cylinder; all of these mean better security. The keyhole is located at the bottom and opens with a quarter turn of a key clockwise. Two keys are included. All this makes the padlock extremely resistant to cut, pick or pry. I bet no one will dare to mess with this padlock.

We are using this Brink's Commercial Grade Padlock out back on our STORAGE SHED! HONESTLY it is way much heavier duty than what was needed for securing those doors on the old storage shed. I even joked to the Mrs. I said heck they would more easily just simply TEAR those SHED DOORS OFF of the HINGES before they would ever be able to BREAK through or CUT through this PADLOCK?? I mean like it is way heavier duty than what was needed / required for the purpose intended?? But one of the features I like most is the BRASS Keyhole, here you won't never ever have to worry about RUST when using it in a OUTDOOR APPLICATION! In the OLD days I used to worry that a PADLOCK might RUST UP so BADLY that eventually your KEY would NO longer work and you would be LEFT with a PICKLE of a situation trying to get into a OUTDOOR-STORAGE-SHED, GARAGE or BARN??? But these *Brink's Commercial Grade Padlocks are truly made to LAST PLUS when I saw the PRICE I said WHOA! I truly expected DOUBLE / TWICE the $$$ that it was? A REAL GOOD QUALITY GOOD VALUE Padlock that is like for SURE! THANK YOU *BRINK'S BRAND!!!

This 2 " lock is heavier than I imagined it would be. I was impressed with the sturdiness. We use it for our trailer hitch and it definitely give us the security we were looking for as it is pry resistant up to 3,700 lbs and cut resistant up to 10,000 lbs! It also would be great to use on outdoor sheds, storage sheds, etc. The instructions also read that it is pick resistant. It comes with two keys and locks & unlocks easily as expected. From the look and feel of it, I would expect this lock will last quite a while. It has a full lifetime material and workmanship. If you are looking for a thick, tamper resistant heavy duty lock, this would be the one to get.

Is it possible to love a padlock??? YESSS!!! This padlock is awesome! Its like fine jewelry, its shiny smooth %26 not heavy or bulky but has a cut level of 7. I like it because it slides in smoothly %26 unlkcks smoothly. Key inserts wiyhout a struggle %26 tutns without hurting your hand or wrist. i have carpal tunnel %26 it is a joy not having pain to lovk or unlock. i highly recommend! I may buy a few more go have as backup whfn the newd arises to paflkck anything!

This Brinks Boron Steel Shackle Promax 2” Shackle Lock W/Keys. # 662-52091 Very well made and seems to be excellent in both construction and materials. Top and Bottom End Bands actually make it easier to handle. The Laminated steel shackle section is heavy duty and should perform well over time. Good tight fit between the Lock body and the shackle section rods. Lock itself is a bit heavy but it's Commercial grade for high security jobs and so not really an an issue.
