these are the best ones I have found for my bikes to use as they keep most people from taking your bike or moped as I also had one on the moped that I had
nice and light carry on the bike just the right link remembering the combination is harder for an old guy like me but yeah it's great good for me makes me think
This locking cable weighs 2 pounds 7.6 ounces and is 6 feet long. Not ideal for my bicycle while out and about. But it will work nice if you need to lock your bikes to your travel rack, I wouldn’t suggest traveling with it on your bike. In my opinion it is just a little heavy for that. It is very strong and holds very well. It could be used to secure a motorcycle, grill, or other outdoor item. I will be using mine to secure my bike to my bike rack that is attached to the hitch on my vehicle. Now I don’t have to worry if I stop at the store on my way to the bike trail. It comes with two keys. The key must be in position to unlock and lock the cable. So don’t take the key out and expect to be able to push the end in to lock it because that will not work.
I didn't have any idea how heavy duty this lock was until I received it. It is really strong and the cable is long enough to attach the lock to most anything. It would probably be too heavy for a bicycle but might be ok for a motorcycle or a boat. I chained it up to this chair so you can see how massive it is. It is actually more heavy duty than I needed.
Great deal great lock I bought a couple like a month ago and just got 2 more
totally love this cable for my bike
Heavy duty perfect length for 2 bikes easy to lock and unlock
Looks like a good product very thick
I have been extremely impressed with the Brink's 5/8 x 6' Promax Flexible Steel Security Cable. It is six feet long, so there is plenty of it to wrap around whatever you need secured. The cable is multiple stranded and braided, and is encased in a clear plastic tube. It is really thick and chunky and super duper strong and sturdy. The blue plastic lock casing is sturdy as well. The end of the steel cable is a ball-like joint that connects into the bottom of the casing. You twist it a little until it feels secure and the key turns to lock it. To unlock the cable, place the key in the lock and turn, and then twist the cable and pull. I like that it does take a twist and a tug, which makes it feel very secure instead of just popping right out. It comes with two keys on a ring, which is nice because you can either have a spare, keep them in two locations, or two people can have access with a key if needed without having to remember a code. The only con I can see with this cable is that it is relative heavy if you are using it as a bike lock and will be carrying it in a backpack or something. My daughter doesn't mind the weight and uses it for her expensive bike and loves it because it is so secure, just thought I would mention it if the weight would be a problem. This is a very good quality locking cable, and I would highly recommend it.
Maybe good for something other then bikes. Was way to big and bulky to be able to have on your bike and ride comfortably.
