easy to install and add or change password. secure entry
I love this brinks deadbolt .First off it's electronic and super easy to use.just install 4 AA batteries and program it as easy as that. The installation I think took me under a half hour including installing batteries. It's satin nickel finish gives the look of very high lo locks.ots got a black key programing touchscreen lock. You put in your code and push the lock unlock. As per all my reviews it's made in Taiwan. Also it has 1inch long bolt to make you fel extra safe.I think Bri KS deadbolts are greT
Excited about this deadbolt, the illuminated lockscreen keypad is very modern & sleek, but the strong material & fine workmanship are the best qualities! This deadbolt gives me and my family that sense of security everyone needs. I love the convenient access and the auto lock features! Easy to install and it has lifetime warranty so that gave us peace of mind that this is the best product for our home.
We wanted a digital deadbolt with a touchscreen. We bought because of the brand name and the reviews. The instructions were easy to understand and my hubby was able to install it without any problems. The next day we got another one for our back door. We love the design; while it looks modern, it doesn't clash too much on our 100 year-old home. It is easy to open and lock our doors.
This deadbolt seems to be very well made! I like that it allows for up to 10 digits for the code rather than the 4 digits allowed on my others. It is aesthetically pleasing and easy to install. It also has a lifetime warranty; I always prefer when I manufacturer stands behind their product. I definitely recommend it!
Good looking and useful. What I like most about this lock is that you can give a house guest a one-time use code and then when they leave you can always change it if you want to. Or you can set up to 30 different codes. Would be great for AirBNB's etc. It's a wireless unit so you need 4 AA batteries for it to work. They say these will last about a year. I haven't used it long enough to verify. The instructions are thorough, easy to follow, and even have pictures to refer to. The lock fits doors that are 1 ⅜” to 1 ¾ “ thick. The keypad is backlit so it's easier to read at night but only lights up if someone is using it. I recommend in those cases to find a number on the edge of the pad and start with that one so you can hit it in the dark. It comes with two keys. The only tool you will need is a Phillips screwdriver. Everything else you need to install it is in the box already. The satin nickel finish makes it easy to find a matching doorknob. It's also programmable so you can set it to lock after 10 seconds up to 99 seconds. This can also be manually locked from the inside and comes with a lifetime warranty.
I'm not sure if it's a security feature or something else, but when you first touch the screen, only 2 to 3 digits appear. Finally, I figured out that you have to touch the lit-up digits for all the digits to appear, so you can enter the code.
It was aesthetically beautiful but it does not work. Could not get it to line up with front and back to click into place therefore, do not know if it works.
Seems great, but stupid thing can't even get past the first step of programming and WORSE no customer support on weekends. When do you morons think working people have time to install your dysfunctional products? First step is letting it figure out if your door is right hinged or left hinged. Even when I try to program it with the door open, the bolt extends but I get the three beep error. Thanks for making me look bad in front of my wife.
The lock would not take the any code at first. Once we were able to get the code set the lock would not unlock. We reset it several times, troubleshoot it, and made contact for additional help. We ended up not using the lock and looking for a better option.
