The Chrome finish has not been affected by hardwater in the area of the sink. It has stayed shiny. The filter is VERY necessary, and I am thankful it is available for use because the hard water really upsets my stomach.
It does what it supposed to do thank God for that
This is a great water filter for your kitchen. I definitely recommend it.
Easy to install, price was perfect
I've had issues with 2 different filters popping up and off the faucet. It sprays water all over the sink. I know I need the filter due to hard water tastes terrible and having the filter on and working does give peace of mind.
Replacing the filter did not result in the resetting of the replacement needed indicator, as it was supposed to and has functioned in the past. And, I noticed that replacing the filter also did not restore the volume throughput as it was supposed to. I have learned that it's best to replace the whole unit, including the filter, after it becomes junked up after around 6 months. And that is too expensive a proposition for the value delivered. I've had my water tested and it seems quite safe. I can't notice any difference between the taste of filtered and unfiltered. So, I think this filter change experience, upsetting as it was at the price point when Amazon knock-offs are half the price, is my last. I'm going to retire my Brita tap filter and just drink the safe and tasty town water straight--crazy, just the way I did my entire 50 years prior to this. I hope I survive! Notes: 1. The removal of the old filter is effected with a push of a button on the faucet dock, and the new one just presses on--without the familiar click of prior changes that reset the replace now indicator. Very easy to swap out. 2. Installing the filter holder itself was a pain in the posterior, because there's a small piece of rubber that is inserted between the faucet and the holder. Undertightening leads to leakage, overtightening also leads to leakage. Requires a magical sense to know when it's on just right. 3. The switch to effect filtration vs. obtaining water through the main faucet is ultra cheaply made, and you will break it when it's new. After that happens, you'll learn from your mistake but your guests who are unfamiliar with it will continue to serially break it for you since it's too easy to break and you won't know you turned the switch too hard until, you guessed it, the leaking begins.
Everything went fine when I got the original unit and hooked it to my faucet. The water tasted great and I did get about 100 gallons of water out of the filter. I couldn't get the unit to reset when I put in the new filter cartridge. It wouldn't change from red to green on the indicator.. I tried going to the Brita site and get help and it really wasn't much help. I'm going to try to call the service number Monday.
ordered 2 of the 2pack brita faucet filters . My credit card was charged $64.54 only received 1 package of filters. Paid for total of 4 filters and ended up only receiving 2 filters. 😒
Both filters were faulty and leaked after a few weeks
