I rarely have the need to print items so going months in between prints led me to buying toner vs ink jet. I have had no issues with my toner drying up and prints clear and consistent every time. Having the larger toner cartridge is super nice so I won't run out of toner anytime soon.

This toner yields printed pages with good contrast and no issues with ink running. It's a clean print every time! Switching out the toner was quick and easy - as simple as opening the toner compartment, pulling out the old toner, snapping the new one into place in the frame, and pushing it back into the compartment. As soon as it's back in place, it resumes printing with the same speed as usual. Very happy with our Brother printer and with the toner replacements!

The prints come out super clean and sharp, and the high-yield lasts way longer than the regular ones. If you print a lot, it's totally worth it. If you barely print, then you probably don't need this big one. But for steady printing, it's been really solid for me. I've experienced no fading at all and it's compatible with loads of printers. Easy to install also!

Take it from me, one who has tried to save some money by purchasing knock-off toner cartridges for my Brother printer, only to have the cartridges fail soon after installation or not work at all. The Brother 830XL Cartridge that fits my printer works perfectly and seems to last forever. The XL cartridge version has a longer lifespan, even though it's the same size as the regular version. I prefer the XL version because it seems to last for months. The packaging says it lasts about 3000 copies, and I'll agree with that estimate…or more. Brother stands by their products too, and will replace any defective cartridge without any problem. I do wish that Brother products were made in the USA, yet they function well, so I can't complain. Great products!!

My page counter on my HL-L2460DW is up to 423 and i got a low toner notification. the printer reports the toner is at about 15%. i figured somehow the toner powder wasn't distributed properly, so took the cartridge out and shook it. no luck. it's running low on toner after only 423 pages. I love Brother printers, but CANNOT recommend this toner product. I'm sure it'll be empty after 500 pages.
