I drank from the white garden hose after assembling, as I often drank from the hose as a young child. The water was perfect! There’s no reason fragility garden hoses should be made of foul material. I water my food with the garden hose- if I can’t drink from it- why would I water my food with it?! My ONLY complaint is that I ordered two sets of three hoses to divide along each side of the yard to connect to each spigot without dragging the hoses- I only received 5. When I notified Walmart- they credited my purchase- instead of sending the 6th hose! Why? If I wanted five hoses- I would have ordered 5 hoses. Now I have to carry hoses farther to water the plants I can’t reach.
very good quality
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Quality and Safe for Drinking Water! I’ve been using the Camco TastePURE 50-Foot RV Drinking Water Hose for a while now, and it’s been reliable and easy to work with. The hose is made of durable PVC that doesn’t kink easily and rolls up neatly for storage. I really appreciate that it’s lead-free, BPA-free, and phthalate-free—perfect for safe drinking water in our RV. The 50-foot length gives plenty of reach when camping or connecting to a distant water source. Water tastes clean and fresh, with no plastic odor even in hot weather. The fittings are sturdy and don’t leak when connected properly. Overall, this hose is well-made, affordable, and dependable. Highly recommended for RVers, campers, or anyone needing a safe, potable water line!
We used it on our dehumidifier in the basement. It attaches easily and is just the right length to reach the sump pump! Very good quality and it comes coiled which is easy to uncoil by stretching it out and laying a lightweight brick or two across it. Perfect! It fits a regular faucet!
It's gonna kink regardless of what you it’s gonna kink regardless of what is stated. It's a good hose for what we need it for which is the RV and 25 feet is a good standard length. It’s a good hose for what we need it for which is the RV and 25 feet is a good standard length
I use it INSIDE my 40ft long container home to pump drinking water into my storage containers FROM a 1750 gallon water storage tank OUTSIDE. Once a week I hook up my system and transfer potable water inside, then store the hose INSIDE out of the harsh desrt sun. This is my third hose in 4 years as the other two I left outside in the sun year round and after a season they imparted a plastic smell to the waater. I have wisened up and keep this inside FULL TIME. The plastic screw fitting on the end will last AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN IT. It doesn't take but just moderate snugging down on the fitting and it will not leak under 25 lbs of pressur that my small transfer pump produces. It is smel free which is a HUGE BENEFIT. Been at this 8 years so far and I recommend it to RVers also, considering it for use.
I used the hose for a week and it developed a large clear bubble filled with water that looks like it will burst any minute. Looks like a manufacturing defect of the layers. It also doesn't make a leak-proof connection at my spigot or with another camco hose. I think the plastic connection/threads and washer aren't sealing 100%. I've tried pipe tape and various tightnesses but still get some steady drips. I started the return process with Walmart but the only option is for me to drive over an hour to a FedEx location. To return a broken hose? No thanks.
This hose is advertised as Reinforced Maximum Kink Resistance. It arrived it I'd the box with dents in the hose itself about 18" from one end. The first time we hooked iyer up, it kinked on itself in several places... which actually choked off the water supply. I'm hopeful that at least the Lead BPA Free representation is accurate. I wril also sassy that all the representations about this house made on line are NOT repeated on the labeling that comes with the hose.... so im not particularly confident that what I received is as represented
Great price, was useful for a few months It began leaking, and changing washers was no help, changing the nozzle did nothing. The leak got worse and worse. My time and money were being wasted. I finally figured it out. A crack had developed around about 1/3 of the circumference of the male hose connector. See image. In the image, arrows show the path of the crack. It would soon have come apart entirely. Had this come apart when unattended, the resulting flood could have done considerable damage. A new solid brass fitting took care of the problem, but at significant expense. As a stopgap this is a nice inexpensive hose. For longer term use, look for high-quality fittings on your choice of water hose.
The hose arrived quicker than expected and as described. Due to the item being on sale, the price was excellent. It appeared to be of high quality. However, after a week’s use the hose developed a substantial leak. The leak was located midpoint in the hose, not at the connections. Due to it still being on sale, with the possibility I received an outlier I ordered another. It arrived as described with the first. Only time will reveal its quality.
