As a senior, I have found some vitamins that are supposedly for my age bracket have little iron. When I tried the senior formula I found myself napping during the day. I need the iron, and will stick with these.
In my early 30s when I was in the best shape of my life, I used adult centrum for many years. My hair was long. My skin was good and my appetite was under control for the first time in my life. For whatever reason I ended up switching to ritual, which was a really good vitamin as well, but after having two kids and using prenatals for a while. I was not seeing the results that I wanted. My hair has been thinning and falling out after my second child. I saw the centrum and decided to give it another chance because it had the amount of B vitamins that was recommended forhair regrowth. It’s only been about 3 weeks so I can’t speak to whether or not my hair has started to regrow but let me tell you that I noticed an immediate difference in my appetite and my energy! Just a few days of taking them my appetite, was totally under control which it has been a mess since having my children, I struggle every day controlling how much I eat but all of a sudden it was effortless. it is now three weeks and I am still going strong. I expect my hair to fill out drastically because if it can do this for my appetite in such a short period of time, I have no doubt that it will regrow my hair back to it old glory. if I’m able to update this review, I will. Centrum is The truth!
I had bought a cheaper brand thinking there all much the same,. I ran out of the ones from the OTC when I changed Health Care Plans. Wasn't feeling too good. The difference was some Minerals were missing. Like IRON. Searched multi vitamin/mineral. Centrum Adult has minerals like Iron listed in their Ingredients!!! Don't believe what other brands preach. Look in the actual Ingredients yourself. Another thing Senior's only, isn't much either. Centrum has folks health in mind. Not false miss leading Ads!!
I like the iron content of Centrum Adult Multivitamins (18mg) better than the iron content of Centrum Silver (8mg). I rarely eat red meat and have always been low on iron when blood work has been done. I am a very active senior (running, hiking, weight lifting) and found myself getting overly tired as I exercised or did yard work. I went back to the Centrum Adult MultiVitamins and have been much better since. Plus, my blood work says my iron is now in the normal range. This may not be the case for everyone and some seniors have trouble with too much iron. That's not the case with me . The other vitamins and minerals in Centrum Adult are also at good levels for me as I also take calcium and magnesium supplements for my aging bones:-)
I liked that this was a complete vitamin. Felt more energetic after taking them for a few days. Really great value and would definitely repurchase!
as far as I can tell they do the job there's no case hardly at all and the price is very reasonable I hope they work
After some googling, it appears multi-vitamins are just marketing hype. I took these for years for no apparent benefit. Now Haleon is manufacturing these in the 3rd world. The Centrum brand has been sold multiple times also. That alone makes me believe it's just hype.
These pills look much smaller than the ones I buy in the store. Just had a negative effect on me. I will not buy on line anymore,
So thought I would save myself $3 and go thru a third party seller thru Walmart. Bad mistake. When I got my order, instead of one bottle of 200 vitamins, I got 4 boxes of 60 vitamins. Great deal, right? Problem is it is mid March and they all expire in May. Wont be purchasing items that have expiration thru third party sellers again.
Not as pictured. I received 4 small bottles. Wouldn't mind but they expire May 2025. I definitely won't be able to take 240 pills in 2 months. I thought I was buying directly from Walmart. I seem to be missing the identification of "sellers" when I order. I specifically look for Walmart products only. I don't have good luck with sellers. Thank-you.
