I WAS TAUGHT TO USE C%26H SUGARS FOR ANYTHING FROM BAKING TO SAUCES AND IT IS THE BEST IN MY BOOK AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED. THIS MAKES THE REST CARMEL SAUCE.
C and H is the only sugar I will bake with. It is a cane sugar, not a beet sugar. I dont care that some say there is no difference in the finished product when using beet sugar VS cane . There is a difference! I trust my baking to Cane sugar only. If I am spending time to scratch bake , C and H is my trusted brand. Plastic packaging with single seal dosent seal well enough . I end up with a solid lump of brown sugar. watch your seal
Not Dark enough. Not much molasses flavor. I buy a brand from another store that is a better price, darker and more molasses flavor. Tried this cause I was ordering from Walmart. A little disappointed since it is C%26H.
Thus product was as hard as a rock and makes me wonder how long it has beef in the shelf . I had to break it up with a meat tenderizing near tenderizing mallet
Purchased this in Aug 24/ opened in Nov 24 When I got this, I laid it flat, and when I opened it, HARD AS A ROCK. I've had a lot of brown sugar that I've had longer than that and opened it's soft. but I'm guessing the delivery shopper or driver managed to poke a hole in the bag somewhere. but it's unusable. I even put a cut apple in an airtight container and it wouldn't soften up. I'll buy my sugar from Sams. IN PERSON.
I don't know what is in this bag of C%26H brown sugar. I've never had brown sugar with ROCKS in it! I put them in my food processor to see if I could break them up, but they nearly broke my blades! They didn't even soften up in the microwave, wrapped in damp paper towels. Three of them now have white streaks where the blade cut into them, and I don't know if I should use the rest of the sugar! What's happening to quality control! I guess I'll buy some other brand to finish my strawberry rhubarb crisp!
received LIGHT brown sugar in a "Dark brown sugar" bag 4 times in my last 5 orders. I have added a picture from 2 diff bags both packaged in dark brown sugar bags.
It was rock hard %26 ripped open in the corner upon delivery.
I ordered two bags one was completely hard on the bottom
This "dark" brown sugar has been growing lighter and lighter lately. I compared the last bag I bought to a bag of Great Value LIGHT brown sugar, and they were practically identical in color. I'm not going back to C%26H. Why pay double for the same product? Stop skimping on the molasses, C%26H!
