Kikkoman Soy Sauce, 15 oz Bottle

Kikkoman is the gold standard for soy sauce. This is still brewed in the traditional method that delivers the full bodied flavor that I expect from soy sauce. It adds saltiness, and Umami to whatever I use it in. Whether for soups, meats, poultry, rice, noodles and so much more, I love the consistent flavor and taste that Kikkoman delivers. This is a reliable and consistent product that is a terrific value for the price. Also available in Low Sodium that also tastes great, I give it 5 stars.

The thing I like the most about Kikkoman soy sauce is it has a lot of that delicious soy taste without being too salty, in my opinion. Other soy sauces I have tried amounted to brown salt water, but Kikkoman gives me that oriental flavor. It is delicious on rice or chicken or anything else you want to spice up. I sometimes mix this sauce with Wasabi powder for my homemade sushi, and it gives it a tasty flare.

I read about the difference in the Great Value Brand, which I tend to like. And the name brand, and for soy sauce, there is a big difference. The processing and ingredients are vastly different, so for this item, you'll want to invest in the name brand. The flavor is what you expect and adds a lot to a recipe.

Certain veggies like green peas and meats like hotdogs go well with this brand. It doesn't take much to a weighted serving size but be careful of using extra salt bc the soy sauce has its own salt. I am still experimenting with this and know other foods will work well. Be sure to shake well before first use and if it's sat for a few weeks without use.

Have you used this product for a long time? This product has been watered down. It is not with the strength and the consistency that it used to be. It is now a good product not a great product so you must ask yourself. What am I paying for .Most liquid base products get diluted down at some time or another to extend profit lines and harm the product as a hole. This may be the case here yeah she said the question do you pay more for less but that is the world we live in-“get you some of that”

My son and husband likes chineese dishes, so I make atleast once in a week like fried rice chilly chicken, dragon chicken etc. so there is a much usage in our kitchen. I always keep an eye on thsi particular brand while buying because of its taste and color(dark soy)

if your watching your sodium use low sodium soy sauce. Making homemade jerky making fried rice etc or just having rice in general this is brand i prefer

i won't know what is wrong with this soy sauce. they must have changed the recipe. it used to be good. this most recent bottle smelled like alcohol. a very strong smell of alcohol. it also tasted like alcohol to the point i couldn't use it and had to find old soy sauce packets from a chinese restaurant to use instead. i wouldn't taste any saltiness because of the alcohol taste. i am so disappointed.

I am 74, I have always used this brand for Soy Sauce since I was in my early 20's. I ordered and had it delivered. Everything went wonderful. But tonight I opened my Kikkoman Soy Sauce. I noticed when I applied it to my rice the color is not right. Pale in color. There is no smell to it either. Now for my honest review! it had absolutely no flavor. The label looks the same but honestly I don't remember three k's in the name. But something is wrong. No flavor, No smell of the product, Color is even different when applied to my rice. I am so disappointed in this Soy Sauce. Maybe I was supposed to shake it up first? Used this product brand for over 50 years. All I know is it may not be Soy Sauce?
