I love the bright cherry red color, the cooking grill %26 the charcoal grid were very heavy %26 sturdy. I'm a 69 year old woman %26 putting this BBQ pit together was difficult for me because the instruction had pictures no words to explain things, but I put it together. To me, beautiful pit, very heavy %26 sturdy. Well worth the money. It will last for many years. The pit was packaged very effective to avoid damage. I also bought the cover, heavy to protect %26 fits great. Theres going to be a lot of BBQ cooking, going on.
The directions and nuts and bolts were easy to understand and put together. i have not used it yet but am sure it will be great plus I am replacing an old charcoal grill that is about 28 years old Martha Stewart Grill
This grill is fantastic! I have used other charcoal grills a handful of times and it is a nightmare trying to light the coals and not burn the food. The Char-Broil was so easy to use you can't make any mistakes. The food was cooked to perfection, no flare ups and the clean up was so easy. I am very happy with my purchase, I am glad I made the switch from gas to charcoal. You can taste the difference between gas and charcoal and hands down charcoal is way better. I have been reading up on how to use my grill to its fullest potential and I am so excited to go out and stock up on meats so I can cook all summer long. This grill exceeded my expectations and I will be talking about it to all my friends and family members. Thank you Char-Broil for making a grill for use novice grillers.
Honestly I thought it was a gas grill! I was disappointed that it couldn't be returned for a refund and I could have chosen the gas grill.
And weak point is front leg. Weld broke, wobble and unsafe to use/move. I wish it had 4 legs. Was able to fix it with few screws and brackets but it should have been designed better in the first place. Indirect grilling/smoking works great. Direct grilling is also good but not for all products. Like temperature control, ash removal, infrared grate works great ( no hot/cold spots) and 0 flares. Great grill with 1 weak point as mentioned.
I think it's a good product it works well as far as the grilling Factor goes but after a month of use the leg broke off the weld from the grill and now it's unusable I've been trying my best to manufacture whatever I can to hold it up but it's pretty dangerous to do it that way considering it's an item that's on fire and I don't want anything else to catch on fire because of it falling over. It definitely should last longer than a month I'm just finally getting around to registering this item because I have to do a warranty exchange and hopefully they fix this on updated models and what they're replacing it with hopefully
It's raining outside so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. Assembly instructions could have been clearer but I finally got it together. It looks great and seems sturdy!
No matter how much charcoal you use it get's way to hot and the food sticks and burns on the outside and not done on the inside. Had to purchase 2 grates and now they are unavailable. I'm going to try and put a regular grill grate on and use smoker tubes to make a smoker out of it. Wish me luck
Switched from a pellet grill back to charcoal. This is not a good one. Grilling surface is way too close to the charcoal. No way to close off the lower vents. Any grease that drips down is an instant flare up, then its taking the food off and starting the oven while people wait for food.
Purchased Kettleman tru charcoal grill 2 years ago for our weekend getaway in Northern Michigan. The cooking grate quickly rusted after only 2 summers of use. I've been waiting 6 months for a replacement cooking grate to come back in stock. For this reason, I do not recommend.
