Cobra Drum Auger Drain Snakes w/ 1/4" x 15' Cable With Open Hook.

Its a cheap one but it did its job and saved me from calling a plumber. I mainly needed it for the washing machine drain.

I had a clog that was about 13 feet down the drain. This product took care of the problem in just a few minutes -- three times in and out of the pipe and now the water drains like when I bought the house. I don't know what the clog was, but it looked like a big wad of dryer lint. Odd, for a kitchen sink. Two points I would like to make: First, it's not intended to go down the drain opening in the sink/bathtub, it's a little large for that. You're supposed to disconnect the pipe from the sink and send it through there. If you put it through the drain opening, it could get stuck and you will have a bigger problem. Or you might get lucky. You'll have to decide for yourself if it's worth the risk. Secondly, one user complained that the plastic piece broke off. The thumbscrew that tightens the coiled wire (snake) only fits one way; if you tighten the thumbscrew against the plastic, it will not work right and may break. Tighten the thumbscrew against the metal coil and it should work as designed. If you're not sure, go to YouTube, there's plenty of videos on how to use one of these. Yes, it's an entry-level tool, but if you only use it once every several years, there's no need to spend bigger bucks. It's well worth the money to me.

Toilet was clogged with paper towels. Spent forever trying to remove with plunger. This instrument cured the problem in less than 5 minutes.

Works good. affordable available. advance it a little at a time and rotate . When the water starts going down pull the hair plug out. Let water run a little. when doing a bathtub use the overflow to insert the snake. (remove the two screws and insert the snake from above)

Works well, the winding down with the rotating handle gets a little wonky if your clog is really bad

15' is short but it was just long enough to unclog my drain. Unfortunately the snake snapped off the plastic on it's way back up. So it is basically a disposable, one time use auger, only good if you are confident it is long enough to catch the clog.

It didn't state in the listing that it wasn't for toilets. Now, I'm stuck with a tool that I don't need because there's no return for this item, even though it's never been used.

The end wouldn't turn up a bend in our pipes below our sink. Also, the instructions didn't tell you how to recoil it back inside (you just have to shove it up back inside manually).

I received this item IT WAS BROKEN, the handle loosley turned, the meatl apart did not release or wind back into the drum
