great product
This is an excellent product for the price. We live near a national park and having this handy has helped us to quickly shoo away unwanted visitors from near the house. It's quick and easy to use. I even bought horns for my neighbors!

Not air horn loud but does the trick
Easy to use, pretty loud, I thought I was getting an air horn which it definitely isn't - but still seems loud enough to help scare bears away

Effective enough to get attention only.
I don't think it's very loud at all. The ad for it said it could be heard over a mile away...I don't know what forced air tool they used to try and get it to be that loud but it was not for me. An average car horn is louder. None of the dogs I tried to use it to scare off were the least bit startled by it and none of them were scared back. Fortunately it's not expensive but didn't work as claimed.
