Works really good. Keeps away black flies and other biting insects. Not a big bottle but you do not need to use too much. About a half dozen sprays and your good to go. I spay it right on my skin...did some research and yes, Deet is safe to apply on skin.
This is the Best ever. I go to florida in the winter. The bugs down there eat me alive. Infected bad. This is the only product for fighting off bugs that works. If you saw what I look like before trying this you would know what I'm talking about. Why dont you sell it in the stores. Thank you sooooo very much. Lionel parent
I definitely wish someone had told me about DEET insect repellent before now. When I was searching for an insect replellent to order I was surprised to see this listed. I heard one of my brothers talk about DEET and that it was the only repellent that he used. He is an avid outdoors-man and if he said that was all that he would use then I knew I wanted to order it and find out for myself. I have only used it twice this month but I was very surprise that it did all the things that the product was supposed to do. Thank you so much for having the product on the list of repellents that I could order from Wal-Mart online.
We used this product on a trip to Alaska. Instead of the ptarmigan, the state bird of Alaska should be the mosquito. OMG! They were everywhere and lots of them. The Coleman 100% DEET worked great. We were glad we purchased the 4oz bottle. It was a really needed. What a bargain. We got 4 ounces of product for about the same price as two 1oz bottles would have cost.
We went camping in an area where the water level is really high right now and that means...bugs, bugs, bugs. Thousands of bugs swarming us. It was completely out of control. I used Deep Woods Off and that did nothing to stop them, Cutter as well did nothing to keep them off us. For whatever reason, when I was picking up some extra heavy duty tent spikes at a local outdoor store...the day before we left, I saw this and thought I might not have enough bug spray, so I got it. Thank goodness! If it would not have been for this little bottle of magic, we would have went home an hour after we got there. This saved the weekend for the kids and myself. It is a chemical, yes and I would not advise it on small children, but it did work to keep the bugs off. We sprayed not only our skin, but our hair, clothes and shoes. They stayed away. Next camping trip I am buying two bottles. The twenty bucks is worth the peace you will get.
Be prepared - ZIKA, Yellow Fever (anti-biotic resistant), Dengue Fever are on their way to a puddle near you. Deet is the best mosquito and may be hard to find as we enter the summer months.
Deet is very expensive, but necessary for me to use when I work in my own yard and take walks, with all the rain and extra insects this summer. Mosquitoes, flies, gnats, ticks and no-see-um are rampant. I was getting chewed up and almost carried off every time I stepped outside. I had to treat going to the mailbox as if it were a relay race. While the Deet is protecting me much better, I realize it is not something to slather on or to use every day. I do have a rash from it and I feel like I'm taking a chance using it full strength. I still like the protection from insects, but recently wonder more about it's safety. I have friends who thought it was illegal, wouldn't use it and wish I wouldn't either.
Get flies off of lake Michigan whenever wind is from the east. Tried this and it did not help from the biting flies. Also, this stuff smells terrible bought it because I could not stand the smell of the deep woods off. This stuff smells the same. Not sure what they mean by unscented.
