So much sturdier than the ladder that came with my pool. Love the lock feature and the roll down feature, I use the roll down feature when mowing to keep the stairs super clean.
Our Intex pool came with a ladder which was alright but just didn't feel very safe. Since the pool was 52" deep the ladder was quite high. This Confer safety ladder made us feel very safe. It is chunky and doesn't wobble when you climb up on it. My spouse and I are 50+ and feel very safe with this new ladder.
We love this ladder because we have a salt water pool and our other ladders kept rusting and were not sturdy. This one is made with very durable hard plastic and is wide enough for me too stand on and turn around. It also has a shield that comes down over outside steps and lock in place (with a lock) so that no little ones or anyone for that matter can get in the pool when not in use. My husband used the long white tie straps to attach it to pool. So very sturdy now.
Assembling it was quick and easy. We bought two, one for ourselves, and the other for our next door neighbor. It is so much better than the piece of junk ladder that came with our 52" Intex pool. That one did nothing but rust and the steps hurt going up them. This one is sturdy and obviously doesn't rust. Our neighbor likes his ladder as well, but says the steps give too much in the middle. However, he has a dog that likes to get in the pool when he shouldn't and the protective cover stops the dog from doing that. We have a heavy son, but believe he wouldn't have any difficulty going up and down this ladder. In short, we are very, very satisfied. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
A little side-to-side wobble to it, but not bad. Definitely an upgrade from the ladder the pool comes with. Didn't want to screw it to my ultraframe, would have to run screw through the top part of the liner-where the horizontal supports are sleeved by it...my pool is dug in several inches below grade, so I just dug the outside area down to the level of the pool floor and buried the bottom step. No problems so far...my wife and child are normal sized and barely move it, I am 6'4" and 300lbs and use it comfortably but with somewhat more lateral movement...Like I said it is 100% better than the metal frame ladder that was included with the pool- aside from the upgraded sturdiness, there is a platform at the top that prevents the little ones stepping on the top of your pool frame, which is much nicer.
I can't really review this ladder because I'm not sure if I'm keeping it. The instructions say not to use with a soft-sided pool. I see however in other reviews and photos that people are using it with their Intex pools.
The ladder looks good in the pool and the safety roll is exactly what I wanted. Assembly not so easy.
Wayfair was so easy to deal with but we really wanted a good ladder. This one didn't come with a screw or bolt and no instruction manual! They were willing to send whatever we were missing but it was about 12 inches too tall for our pool. We were able to get a refund but we still don't have a working ladder!
The box came and was missing more than half the items needed to put it together. Have reached out 2x already and told to give them 48 hours. So far have not heard from the company. I'm frustrated and disappointed not to mention without a pool ladder
did not like it at all first of all it look used barely hold up I believe it's defective just put it back in the box not what we expected at all I know this says a lot but we rather use the little cheap ladder came with the pool instead of this one that should tell you
