Cowboy 15 Pound Oak & Hickory Lump Charcoal

The charcoal is great. I cook on it 3-4 nights a week. However, when Walmart ships this product , they put one bag in a giant box large enough to hold three or four bags. I preferred eight bags and received eight giant boxes. Come on Walmart, you can do better.

Great charcoal at a great price! Burns well and has excellent flavor. Will definitely buy again. My pieces were a bit smaller but I wouldn't say crashed or slivers like some others reported in the reviews. I would say they were average size about the size of a deck of cards or so at the smallest.

My husband is very picky about his charcoal. This was the first time we tried a oak %26 hickory smoked flavor and when I tell you it was so flavorful, it was delicious. Our carne asada came out with a beautiful color and it was so tasty. We will be definitely buying this again. The price for the size of bag was a bargain!

Sometimes the product it beat up and thrown around at the store. This causes the lump charcoal to break apart and causing a lot of powder in the bag.

A subtle smoke flavored hardwood burn that lasts a long time. It was very reasonably priced and delivered right to my door with no fees. Beats hauling it through my local store, loading it in the car and having to deal with it that way.

Hubby does the smoking/bbq'ing. He said this lump charcoal gets a nice high temp that lasts for hours. The oak %26 hickory woods in it have made for great flavor on our steaks, brisket, ribs, chicken. Great stuff!

So glad to be able to get real charcoal with no added chemicals. Used a charcoal starter, poured the coals on the grill, and the steaks tasted great!

it's not bad for the price but I've found two rocks in my bag so far. i have never found rocks in any type of charcoal I've ever used before. i sure hope it's not to increase the weight of the bag ,i definitely feel cheated

I agree with past posts once I opened the bag. I thought the small crumbly pieces were corrected from the past, but they were not. Many of the lumps are like splintered charcoal briquets. I will not buy this again.

The bag was ripped in several areas with tape and charcoal coming out of the ripped holes. Very horrible bag, I would not have purchased if I was in store.
