Crisco is a trusted traditional brand in my household. I used the shortening long before the oils were introduced. I still use the little tub for my favorite cupcake recipe The bottles go into my deep fryer They always cook up crispy fries just like the fast food restaurants. Yummy
I grew up eating foods prepared in Crisco and still to this day enjoy the taste it has when using this cooking oil. Golden brown fries, crispy chicken and so on. There are so many different oils now for cooking some say they are better for you than others, but trust me when I find a great product that has been around for some time now and it keeps me coming back for more. I stick with it.
They weren't broken when delivered The ranch dressing was never delivered to me driver reported deliver at post office but was t delivered called reported it said it would be 48 hours Which if not delivered along with the other product I will go back to krogers
Last year I read something about Olive oil being so good for you, but after buying a way over priced bottle I had different thoughts. When I put it on a salad with salt and pepper and some wine vinegar, It changed the flavor so much that I stopped using it. And I was thinking maybe it was me. But then I decided to buy the oil my mom had used for years, and when she made her salads, aahhh such a good smell and taste. So I went to Walmart and was so happy that they had the Crisco brand, and it was still at a great price too. While there I bought the makings for my salad and rushed home to see if the flavor was still there. I could tell from the pleasant aroma when I sprinkled it on the lettuce that it was going to be very welcome to my palate. I tossed the salad in the bowl then held it up to my nose and took in a nice long slow breath of what I had just made. Then the final and most important park. Picked up my fork, and listening to the crunch of the cold lettuce as the fork found it's mark I knew I was on the right track. Then the wonderful taste as I crunched down on each delicate fork full, bringing back great tasting memories long forgotten from my childhood . Moms know Best!
Lettuce was beginning to turn. Not fresh as advertised. The last time I ordered a bag of lettuce (shredded) turned in one day. Didn't complain about it that time because sometimes things don't work out as hoped but this is the second time. This order and my last order contained items that store was out of stock. Hope Walmart can do better.
got this as a substitute since the great value was out at the time of purchase, was good and is a leading brand but still prefer to save money with the great value one, would buy again if great value is out
As far as Cooking oils go, Its good. You can use almost any oil to cook with, some have higher heat points on them like for frying thing, but they all pretty much taste the same.
I love vegetable oil! It's great for cooking various meals such as pork chops, chicken, and even frying ramen noodles! A great tradition for the kitchen!
I don't use this. Purchased for my 90 yr old mom who has used it forever. She is "old school" %26 fries okra. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know all the healthy stuff. She's 90. Me %26 her doctor say "leave her alone!" She's really likes using this once in a while.
I went to go reach for some oil to cook for something. And realize that I never received this item with my order. i had a large order from walmart and a large order from sam's club. The same day so I didn't pay much attention to it until I got ready to reach for some oil to cook with and realize I didn't have any.
