Using Belgian waffle mix these waffles are light and crispy on the outside. I haven't used regular waffle mix, but feel it will be fine. The machine is a bit heavier than expected, but not bad.
This is our tenth or eleventh Cuisinart appliance and it's just as good as all the others! Heats up quickly and slider for doneness is very accurate.
i have to say when i first used it i was amazed how the waffles looked when complete and the adjustment for the darkness is amazing. i kept hearing how well they work and i finally invested in one and i will for now on buy Cuisinart product.
I purchased this waffle maker based on my prior experience with Cuisinart. It has always been good. We are already enjoying waffles on this waffle maker. We are very pleased. It is easy to use and gives excellent results.
Best waffle maker ever!! Perfect every time. I love the setting for how brown you want them. Makes 4 at a time. Get for larger families. It can be stored standing upright. Saving space.
I love my new waffle/pancake maker. We have made Belgian waffles and pancakes. Standard waffles are up next. The grandkids love it too!
The best parts about this waffle maker have nothing to do with how well it makes waffles. It is easy to clean, easy to store, compact and simple to manipulate. However, the cooking is very inconsistent, and not even consistent in areas of the waffle maker. The spots that run hot are different each time, and it does not reheat well between batches. It gets the job done, but if you are looking for consistent performance and evenly cooked waffles - this is not your product! If you want something that works well enough, is easy to clean, and good looking - this is great!
I recently purchased the Cuisinart 4 Slice Belgian Waffle Maker. I prepared the batter according to the recipe in the booklet provided by Cuisinart. I set the waffle make to #3 and when they were done the waffles looked completely raw. I then adjusted the waffle maker to # 4 and continued to make the next batch. This time the bottom cooked very well but the top was still very light and raw looking. I did not set it to # 5 as the bottom of the waffles were a very golden brown on # 4. The remaining waffles were all cooked on the bottom but raw looking on the top. I even tried flipping the waffles over to let the tops cook but that only resulted in me burning my hands. I truly am shocked at the performance of this product as I have trusted & used Cuisinart products for many years.
I received this as a replacement from Cuisinart when the top level of my old Cuisinart waffle iron no longer functioned. The "old" waffle iron was less than 3 years old. I used the standard waffle recipe that was in the booklet that came with the iron. I used the proper, measured amount for my first waffle and it overflowed on all sides. To add insult to injury, the top level of this iron is faulty, also. The waffle doesn't brown evenly on both sides. Aside from these points, since you're asking for feedback, I really wish you made an iron that produces waffles with the standard-depth holes, rather than Belgian-style waffles.
Cooks to a nice crisp brown on one side but remains white and not done on the flip side. Other Cuisinart appliances of mine are great! This one disappointed.
