My husband gifted me with the bread machine for Christmas. I was skeptical at first but after using it almost every other day since I got it, I'm impressed! I've made sourdough loafs, sweet loafs, doughs, among other items. My family is addicted to homemade breads now and I don't think I'll ever be able to buy store bought again! The machine makes it so simple- just dump the ingredients in and forget about it. Sourdough stretch and folds? No more. The machine does it for you! I hope this machine lasts me for years to come.
I have had this bread maker for 20+ years. It has been perfect for my family. I have only recently had to order a new bread basket. I would highly recommend this product.
This was a gift from my husband to enable me to be able to have fresh yummy bread again. It does an amazing job from start to finish. I have gotten a perfect loaf every time. I am still looking for more recipes but this is the easiest to use, fastest to clean bread maker ever1
I have been baking bread in my new Cuisinart about every other day. Using recipes from the book that came with the bread machine, and from Pinterest. it is so easy to use, even though I have a few tweaks to recipes. I have attached a couple of photos of bread I made. Hawaiian, challah, etc. All turned out beautiful. I have made pepperoni garlic bread, and roasted red pepper garlic bread. Awesome grilled cheese sandwiches.
This unit is well designed, easy to use, and makes bread worth eating! Made a simple loaf, with all purpose flour, it was pretty good, then a French loaf, made with bread flour, the difference in crust was noticeable, the crust was flaky and crunchy and the bread flour(having more gluten) made the bread texture chewier. MMMmmm Banana Walnut Bread (nice included recipe) was third loaf. Making the fourth one now. I have used a few different bread makers over a few years this one is a good one!
I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself. I love it! I make bread once a week for my family and it's never been easier. I have also been experimenting with having the machine do all the work, then I form the bread into loaves and bake in the oven
Cuisinart makes a very nice bread maker. I first became interested in bread making when some of my family members developed problems with gluten. So, I looked for a nice bread maker and a good cookbook. The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook by Beth Hensperger is recommended. I have made a loaf of bread every week since I purchased the Cuisinart. It takes about 3 hours to make a loaf, so keep that in mind. Also, I always set the bread maker on light crust, because I have burned a loaf using the medium crust setting. You can put the machine on bake if the loaf needs more time, but the bread rarely needs to be baked past the light stage. I have made one gluten free loaf, which turned out dense but acceptable. I have had bread over proof, which makes the top cave in slightly after baking, but it still tastes delicious! I always thought bread making was too complicated for me, but the bread machine makes it easy.
This is a good investment. I've experimented a few loaves and already have my favourites. Most of the recipes though need a few more tbsp of liquids so do check the dough while it's in the kneading process. Another thing that doesn't seem to work for me is the light crust. I haven't had any difference between light and medium in my end product. Not sure if this function even works since am afraid to try dark Incase it burns my bread.
I am the queen of burning bread but his makes it soo easy I have not burned anything yet!!! the bread is always a little more dense then I like using the recopies that are included in the manual so I have boon finding alternate recopies for softer bread . I DO NOT like the little paddle, it gets dirty and nasty its hard to clean it gets stuck in the batter when you try to pull it out and its very frustrating .. BUT I will put up with that frustration , will be having to get a new paddle as it does not get all the way clean and that is not sanitary
The inclosed recipe and instructions booklet are not specific enough with regards as to when to take out the mixer paddle and the print is very small. After 4 try's, I have managed to bake 2 loaves that were edible. To be completely fair, I purchased a Bread recipe book and will keep trying before my final review.
