DampRid Moisture Absorber Refill Bag, 42 oz., Fragrance Free

My guest room closet in my 68 year old house smelled so old and musty, it was really strong so I was worried there was a mold issue. I put 2 containers of Damp Rid and forgot about it for a year. I couldn't believe when I looked they were both filled with water and the smell is virtually gone. I'm usually never this satisfied with any purchase but wow!

Have used this product to remove moisture in the air preventing mold and damage since I discovered it living in Mexico in 2003 Believe in it, use it all the time to save on AC bills in off seasons. Wonderful in dark closets, basements, inside cupboards, wherever air moisture may accumulate in warm climates. Has to constantly be refilled as the chemicals dissolve as they absorb moisture becoming liquid. Instructions say flush water down the toilet. I never put it into sewer system, pour it on places in yard where I don't want grass or weeds to grow, but don't dump into plants! Also, not close to clothing as in almost touching. It will possibly leech color out of some garments.

Not only is DampRid the best at absorbing moisture and odors, but couple these refills with their little filter basket/tubs and you're also saving lots of plastic from the landfills! Awesome!

I use 1 or 2 containers in each room in my house.I live 2 blocks from the beach and it gets damp. Really helps stop the mold from growing. love it.

Does the job in the closet and keeps moisture under control in the closet. Have used it for 5 years and the closet never smells musty or is it damp.

Does the trick here in Florida. Winters are particularly bad because we still have humidity, but the A/C isn't running to remove it and the heat is rarely used either.

We have both a vent and window in our bathroom. However, the shower is large, and used frequently. As a result, I could feel and smell the dampness as soon as I walk in. DampRid has done a beautiful job of eliminating the damp odor and the mold. I was stunned by how much water was in the container after just 2 days. Our bathroom smells fresh and clean, and the mold is not forming in the shower corners. This stuff is amazing.

I purchased this fragrance-free refill to fill several 10.5 oz. canisters previously purchased from walmart.com. We live in an area where high humidity is problem, and DampRid does a super job keeping humidity down in our RV. Great price and fast shipping!

I want to start off by saying this is a go to for Florida. If there's a humid area and needs to have the humidity taken out I recommend this. I started off by buying the little containers that are refillable and now I just buy these big bags to refill them with. They are most reasonably priced at Walmart. I don't like the ones with fragrance because the fragrance is too strong but the ones that are without the fragrance or just great. You will be surprised where you can put this and pull moisture out. I put one even in the air handler closet for the air conditioner and it pulls moisture out of there. I have a musty smelling antique armoire and I put one in there and it made all the smell go away and pulled the moisture out of it. This is an excellent product.

I have used this product for years - works great in my Florida condo beachside. However the last 2 I ordered came with the individual bags opened in the corner - apparently picked up moisture as the box was wet inside.
