DAP Eclipse Rapid Wall Repair Patch, 4 Inch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to cut my lease short and leave the bay area because the never-ceasing wildfires, a rash of shootings, and the Covid lockdown became too much to deal with. In doing so I also had a lot of holes to patch up in my apartment to get it ready for the subletter. Fortunately I found this product and it helped immensely! Covering up the holes in the walls from the TV and items I had to secure for earthquake proofing could not have been easier.

We had lighting installed that required new wiring in the ceiling. We were left with 8 holes to be repaired. The holes were 1" to 3" in diameter. I came across this product and it was the perfect solution. I followed the directions and it worked exactly as stated. Only one hole didn't come out perfectly smooth but I also had a difficult time reaching the hole, so I think my stretched effort was the reason for the less than perfect layout. When I walk into my kitchen, I have to SEARCH for the repair. The only "give away" is the very fresh white paint versus the older application. NOw you need to come up with a TAPE that works the same way but for a larger area. It should have a reinforced line that would align with the seam of the added piece of drywall! If you could do that, and have it work the same way (Adhere, paint, strip off outer layer, then paint again)... my Goodness!!!! It would be the ultimate game changer! Thank you. I have a normal kitchen again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using this patch. It was so easy. Using Spackle will never happen in my house again. You can't even see the repair after you paint it. I used it to fix a hole the size of pan gold ball and it worked perfectly and so easy.

It doesn't blend to a textured wall perfectly, but the area we covered was going to be covered up so we didn't worry about that. It was nice not having to cut a bigger hole and patch with drywall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great on DIY Begginers like my self who's looking for a quick and easy temporary fix. Love that it's Easy to use, just stick, paint, peel, paint and done! I'm about to repair the hole on my wall cause by the door knob, but I thought of doing a test run on small area first using DAP 2" patches, just to get a grip on how it goes and I'm actually pretty satisfied with the result, with an exception to use a real paint next time instead of spray ones.

I had a few holes in my house and use this Eclipse Rapid wall repair patch to cover them. Very easy to apply you just have to pain over to cover. I have to reapply 3 coats of pain to get it repair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an avid DYIer, I've fully renovated homes and own rental property for which I do most of the repairs. I normally have plaster, sheetrock, and tape on hand to make plaster repairs and I will go that route for most repairs. Having said that, I was excited to try the DAP Eclipse Rapid Wall Repair Patch as a quick easy fix in low-traffic areas and it worked great. If you don't have the skills, tools and time, and want a super quick patch, this is your solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DAP Eclipse Rapid Wall repair patches are pretty convenient and easy to use, would be great for someone that doesn't know how to do a repair with drywall, but the results aren't nearly as seamless as a traditional drywall repair. You can definitely still see the little flower shape around the edges when you're done with the three coats of paint. I'll stick with the traditional repair.

At the end of the day if the hole is larger than a quarter, I want a patch stronger than a sticker just in case I ever forget it's there and try to push a pin into the wall to hang something. Honestly though I don't think I'd ever forget, because you can see the sticker outline even after finished. I'll be sticking with tried and true patch methods unfortunately. That said, I can see this as a simple solution for someone without any DIY experience trying to cover small holes.
