Bought this for an 8-year-old birthday party. What do you buy a shark lover who has aged out of the little kid toys? This! It is a great activity and has the fun surprise element kids this age love! Also we love that it includes real shark teeth!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This excavation toy kit was so cool! I have never seen anything like this and it was a fun rainy day activity! It is very well made and comes with all the tools to make the extractions. This is definitely for older kids--kindergarten and up. It was so cool to see my kids faces when they found a treasure. I will definitely buy the other excavation kits for future rainy/bored days!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy excavation kit mini fossil kit, is such a fun toy /Learning experience for my little one. Just use water and start digging. We had a blast! Uncover many different things as you play and dig! Lots of family fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves these digging/excavation kits. She really feels a sense of accomplishment when she works on digging out each individual "surprise". This excavation kit by Discovery was not too hard for her to "excavate", but it wasn't too soft and easy to dig apart either.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We all find shark teeth so exciting in our house since we live in Ohio. Always have memories of getting them in school when a friend went to the beach. This right here gave us alot more excitement. We have three kids and they enjoyed this so much even adults will find this fun! Very easy to use and fun once you get it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because my kid loves gems. He is a bit older, but he still likes to use gems in his artwork. I thought this would be a fun way to make him work for them. He made a video review using it. I was able to capture some photos for use here. He enjoyed the activity and the gems he received from it. I would buy this for some of his cousins. I think they would really enjoy this type of activity as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids loved this. The rocks were little hard for them to crack open. They had to have help to break them. The rocks were pretty and all sorts of shapes and forms from them. Great for kids experiments.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids loved doing this gem excavation. My daughter had the most fun she loves collecting rocks, gems, crystals ect. She said this was the best thing ever having to actually dig up a pretty gem. It was a little messy but we put it in a blanket so clean up was easy.
Such a disappointment for my almost 6-year-old Grandson. He loves all things science. The “shark tooth” looked like a claw that my cat had lost. Small almost microscopic and fragile. We actually believe we washed one down the sink emptying the excavation water. Suck a waste of time, effort and of my money.
The best part of this excavation was the unboxing on Christmas Day. The size of the shark teeth were very disappointing. Both teeth were smaller than a finger nail and very frail. Would not recommend.
