Bad back and hips. helps me get in and out of shower

good size for small hands
This is narrower than some which is good for small hands and the textured surface wet hands don't slip. Also the mounting plate that goes against the wall is narrower than some so I could fit it into a small space. I will get a couple more to use in other places, good safety feature for us old folks.

Life saving shower/tub bar.
First of all i can't believe i didn't buy this 10 years ago, i broke my wrist when i was 69 and if i would have had this then it would have given me more independence in getting out of my tub/shower, i'm 74 now and just knowing i can hold onto this to steady myself brings me a world of comfort, my 10 year old great g.son that were raising likes it too because boy's can be very silly getting out of the tub and i don't have to worry about him now.

getting old is dangerous! Make it safe!!
Actually I have always disliked the rough texture on safety bars....BUT now that I am old, I see how dangerous and slippery a slick bar could be. So textured is great, for safety. This is actually for a rent house, so value for the $ is another concern. Safety is a big issue for a landlord.

excellent grab bar
The steel knurled grab bar is excellent for use in the shower or bath...it's texture makes it easy to grip and your hand won't slip! Good for everyone especially older folks...

not enough information
The entry on line did not mention the size in circumference of the grab bar. in the picture I thought the bar appeared to be a one and a quarter inch in diameter. When the bar arrived it was only one inch in diameter. I cannot use the bar so I wasted my time and money on this order.
