Fellowes 8MC Micro-Cut Personal Shredder

This shreds to tiny pieces the only complaint is when I move it to another room it's top heavy but other than that works perfect for my needs. I use daily for junk mail and other papers.

I bought a shredder from Walmart last year and it lasted 10 months with my son having to baby it the last 3 months or so. It was incredibly loud and things would get stuck often. So I paid more and ordered another one and I think this one will last longer. It's not nearly as loud and nothing has stuck so far. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is not your industrial-shred-50-pages-at-a-time shredder. I have one of those already. This shredder is a micro shredder. If you are shredding items that you absolutely don't want to be read again this is the best option. It cuts everything into tiny pieces. It is also very quiet when it runs. It is perfect for shredding unwanted credit card offers and old financial records or ID docs. Because it shreds into such tiny particles its bin holds quite a lot. And the bin has a see through window so you can easily see when it needs to be emptied. It is dark and sleek in design and so is unobtrusive in your office. It is described as medium duty as it can shred 8 pages at a time for 5 minutes straight and then requires a 30 minute cool down. I like that there is a lock button so if you have little ones around they can't “accidentally” turn on the shredding blades. Nice machine.

Works great so far. Only been a week. Takes up to 8 sheets of paper and paper clips, staples and credit cards. That's all we need.

Fun to see all those tiny pieces! Now if I could just think of something to do with them besides paper mache!

I had to replace my cross cut shredder that I had for a few years. I'm so glad I got this micro cut shredder. It's quieter then my previous shredder and runs faster!

As a paper saver, I now have to shred years worth of outdated documents. This Fellowes micro cut device is my fourth shredder and it is by far the best I've ever used.

I like that it has a lock feature on it. It shreds quick enough. It handled four small envelopes shred at the same time which should equal the eight pages that they claim they can put through it. I recommend this shredder.

It just stopped working less than two months out of the box. Went through troubleshooting, but to no avail. Returned %26 refunded.

Very unhappy with the way this all took place. I wasn't informed that this was not in stock until I noticed that it wasn't moving or being processed. I never received any notification about it so I cancelled twice as I wasn't going to be receiving a shredder that was out of stock. Sorry
