When you first turn on the Fellows LX70 shredder it is very loud. Maybe because there is no noise right now for me. I’ve used a shredder before so I feel like this one is a bit loud. I believe it is warming up. It seems pretty powerful. I was able to shred 11 pages at a time. Also when I insert the papers there were times I didn’t put them in very straight and the shredder still shredded the pages perfectly. I even had a few medical cards that needed shredding and it did great. I’d like to point out though when taking the top part out of the box be careful when grabbing it as you might poke yourself with the medal. As I did. There is no styrofoam or anything to cover the “teeth” of the shredder. Over all I’d say this is a great product with great quality and I was able to get rid of many documents with personal information on it! I like that it has lock on it so it won’t be misused by children. This shredder also indicates when it’s needs a cool down period. I was able to shred 100 pages in total easily without needing a cool down period.

This is one of the most powerful shredders I've ever seen outside of a commercial setting. I can shred whole envelopes of mail, credit cards, card stock and coupon mailers. Very well made, solid construction with a fairly large capacity bin. Full window allows you to see internal contents so you don't overfill it. Has a locking switch to prevent accidental activation. Reverse switch also allows lubrication of blades. Says it can operate for 5 minutes before needing to rest. I didn't need it to run that long so I'll take their word for it. Bright white light indicates power is on. Also has a light to let you know when it's hot but again I didn't let it get that far. 11 sheet shred limit is very impressive for home shredder. Paper and cards must be loaded into the center in order to activate blades. Excellent document shredder!

My third purchase of this shredder. Next to my desk to shred mail as it is opened. At least 8 years since last purchase.

This shredder does what it's meant to do. It's very quiet and usually handles up to 8 to 10 sheets of paper at one time.

Powerful. The reason for my purchase was to replace a nearly decade old unit of the same model number. They don't last forever. But while it did last, it did the job.

Great deal the safety latch was broken on the required collection bin. Wanted it so bad, spoke to representative realized safety tab important returned seamlessly and received an online 'thank you' for my next purchase! Nice job.

This is a fantastic shredder from an awesome brand. This shredder is a replacement for my former paper shredder by the same company, I loved my old paper shredder, it was a workhorse. This shredder is gorgeous, it looks so simple yet it really dresses up the area. I have been able to shred many of my bills and mail with no problems. It is so quiet, compared to my older shredder. I love that this also shreds credit cards and even if you forget to take a staple or a paper clip out, it will go through. I also love that it is cross cut so you have more privacy and less risk if somebody gets into your shredded material. Another thing I love about this is that the window in front of the shredder allows you to see how many shreds are in the shredder and how long you have until you need to empty it. The waste bin holds just under 5 gallons of shreds which is a good amount. I am loving this shredder and I'm very happy with it. One thing to note, make sure you get the oil for the shredder, your shredder will be happy and will last you quite a bit longer.

I received this item as a promotional item to review. I tried it out once to shred a few documents and I thought it was okay. It's sort of slow when shredding and when you put a bunch of papers in at once, the machine starts to get jammed. I eventually had to put one piece of paper in at a time to not jam it up. I'd have to say that if I paid for this shredder, I would've probable returned it
