This shovel was exactly what I needed for the job I had.. Easily got up under the snow and ice. my shovel handle broke and was snowed in at my son's house so all my other shovels were miles away. This is my favorite shovel now. made easy work of a hard job. Trust me it's worth it bought another shovel at the same time haven't used it yet. All steel is the way to go you might get a cheaper one but you won't get a better one.. I had to wait days for FedEx to deliver yes roads where that bad. But my anger was eased when this shovel turned out to be so great. Never thought I would be so found of a shovel. keeping it in the basement so it won't come up missing. I expect it will last the rest of my life and possibly my son's. I take time to write few reviews and actually came to my purchases to find another item I was putting together and saw this chance to leave a review. I'll have to say I needed it desperately cause both the shovels I had taken to my son house before the snow hit handles broke. one at the handle the other started coming apart at the bottom. so I strongly suggest a metal.. steel shovel. when I went back home. I had a similar one in the tool shed not a snow shovel but that storm started snow and trun to ice . It broke the ice up and work like a charm. and after all that only scratches on the actual shovel part handle was rock solid..I guess you know I loved it. yes old rambling lady.
A great shovel well balanced extremely well-made I actually used this flat blade shovel to rip up applied flooring and underlayment and it worked very efficiently.
The Fiskars All-Steel Transfer Shovel has been excellent for moving dirt and rocks around the ranch. It feels solid and well-balanced, and the handle is easy to grip, even when I am working for long periods of time. The angle of the shovel head provides great leverage, which makes lifting and transferring heavy loads much easier and puts less strain on my back. I have used it for a variety of jobs, from cleaning out stalls to leveling soil, and it has held up really well. Overall, this shovel has made my work more efficient and my back is very grateful.
Super sturdy, I have bought a few of the cheaper ones, and figured i use them quite a bit I would invest in a more expensive one. It was only $10 more than the cheaper one, and feels solid. Pretty sure this thing is going to last a very long time even with me beating up on it.
We purchased this shovel after getting a recent snow storm that had significant ice fall on top of the snow and our shovels we had couldn't get thru it to break it up. This shovel was amazing and we let our neighbor borrow it and they wanted one as soon as they finished using ours.
Mu husband loves the Fiskars line of shovels and tools. The handle is ergonomic and the construction is solid. The shovel is a bit heavy for me, but that's what my husband likes about the shovel he doesn't feel like it will break.
The quality of the shovel is really good. Like the all steal construction, feels very sturdy. Better quality and lower price than anything found anywhere else.
This shovel's greatest strength is its STRENGTH! You can literally stand and sit on it, and it doesn't bend or break. We used it to uproot deep root balls from bushes for a community garden.
This is a great shovel! I have had the pointed one for a while and love the durability, this square one is just as good! all welded means the handle doesn't come loose from the head, and the bend in the handle makes it easier to scoop things up. this is the perfect companion to my pointed shovel!
I got this shovel for my husband for work and he loves everything about it. He even bought a second one for home. Highly recommend.
