I ordered Flex Seal Clear to seal our windows.. We had a problem when the snow started to melt and we originally used the white flex seal, because that was all we had on hand..In order to do the job correctly on all of our windows we needed the clear.. We are using the clear on the outside of our window frames to stop any and all leaks... It is a GREAT PRODUCT...
I likw the fact that Walmart sends their orders out quickly! I like the product, I have used 10 cans all along the bottom of my home and it seals very well. I appreciate the product and would recommend it to anyone and I appreciate the efficiency of Walmart.
I had a small leak between roof panels over enclosed lanai. I sprayed the seam in the hot sun yesterday and 6 hours later it rained 1.5 inches and I am happy to report, not a drop of rain came thru. The product did the job it claimed and was far less messy than using elastomeric spreads.. Michael, Spring Hill FL.
I live in a 45 years old 12x60 house trailer. During the bitter cold, I did my best to plug all the entry points for that brutal cold. I used to build the left side wall; and although I cannot find any info from the Redman Industries, in Alma,MI; I know how these trailers were built, so I have some insight into where/how to stop the cold. It finally got warm enough here in Michigan, that I could try the product. I have DirecTV, and there were some holes punched through the skirting to allow access to bring the various cables inside. I had tried different products/ways to seal off the area, nothing worked. When I got the Flex Seal order, I waited for a warm day, and applied several thin coats to the area(do not blast the sealer so it runs down)let it dry between coats. My draft is gone!
Having been turned off by Flex Seal's direct selling via TV commercials in which the buyer was loaded up with an unnecessary second can of the product, coupled with ridiculous, additional "shipping and handling charges," I bought the Flex Seal clear mainly because the purchase was through Walmart. As for the product itself, it appears to be exactly what I wanted, but performance over time ultimately will reveal its effectiveness.
I used it to seal the gap between my gutter and my roof over my entry way. The item worked perfectly. It did take a lot to get the coverage I was looking for but over all it worked as advertised. Will not do a large project with one can but for small jobs it worked great.
I used this product in hopes of sealing a cement birdbath. I put on 6 coats and although the leak slowed down it never completely sealed. I followed the directions on the can to the letter. I guess the old adage "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is" holds true in this case.
I bought this product to seal a leak in some grout along the foot of a shower stall. I let the surface dry for three days prior to application and it still leaked right through. Also the product didn't seem to adhere very well to the tile or grout surface. Like most things advertised on TV it's a rip off!
Husband built a wooden catch-box for target shooting in the back yard. Used 7 cans (not cheap) to completely cover the inside and out with Flex Seal. First rain wasn't even a downpour, but the wood was warped, the coating was peeling around all of the edges, and bits were flaking off. This was only after three days outside and a light rain! This product also says it seeps into cracks and holes, but it doesn't. I wish I could get my money back, but how do you return 7 empty cans?
we bought this to seal up some holes. used 4 coats and it didn't last a day after curing. it even melted off the surface and scraped away onto anything that touched it. we didn't use it on anything that would come in contact with heat. this happened from being exposed to the sun and weather
