Fresh Chicken of the Sea Pasteurized Crab Meat Lump, 8 oz Plastic Cup Refrigerated, Contains Shellfish

My Dad is from Virginia and we are now in the south. And he loves him some crab cakes. I am still trying to perfect the recipe but I made it for him for Father's Day this past weekend. He says the lump crab meet is the best way to make them so that's what i bought the Fresh Chicken of the Sea Pasteurized Crab Meat Lump with very little filler just enough to bind them together to fry the patty and just a bit of lemon pepper and old bay seasoning. And don't over mix, you want the lumps of crab for a good crab cake. The crab meat was good, there were a couple pieces of shell but not enough to ruin the dish. It had a slight sweet flavor and was not salty, to me it was just good fresh crab meat. I made 4 large palm size crab cakes if you make them smaller then I am sure you could get 8 cakes. I used two containers cause I wanted to make sure Dad got his fill. I guess I had the temp up a bit to high cause they got browner faster then I could get the internal temp up, but for the most part I think they turned out pretty good.

this crabmeat is great...and always fresh tasting....i cant get to a seafood market so this takes the place..i will always buy this one...its been the best of all i have trief..

My Daughter Made The Best Sushi Bake From This Delicious Crab Lump Meat. The Meat Was Fresh and Didn't Have That Can Taste. She Also Added Shrimps, Seaweed and Avocados To The Sushi Bake 😋😋

NOT worth the 18 dollars paid!! there was almost no flavor and the ingredients totally overwhelmed the crab. i made crab cakes and even omitted the green onion hoping that would help the flavor of the crab come thru...it didn't. skip at all costs.

Fishy fishy fishy. If I didn't know better, I would swear this product is fish, not crab. As a Marylander born and raised, I often make my own crabcakes. This was the only available crab at Walmart. I can tell you I will never buy it again ruined my dinner and wasted my time and money. And wasted my time and money.

I didn't receive my crab meat so I'm very unhappy because it was shopped. Where is it and did the driver take my can. I see everything else that was delivered and not my chicken of the sea crab meat. I need a refund or it replaced which I prefer.

Wow, these had a STRONG fishy flavor. I make a dish frequently and add lump crab meat but couldn't find the normal brand so I tried this. Inedible! Super expensive, and I threw the 2nd can away. Don't waste your money.
