it works really good with ground chicken ground beef and when you making patties and prime they hold real good I recommend using that for feeling the chicken patties and hamburger pads stay together real good and the good part you really don't taste it it makes it a good use it and good flavor
I wanted to make crab cakes and decided to go with what I thought would be the best. The bread crumbs are larger, not a fine dust like I have seen with others in the past. This is not an expensive product, so why not use what will make your recipe shine? I made the crab cakes in the air fryer and everything crisped up perfectly.
Best panko breadcrumbs you can buy. Believe it or not, panko does have a taste, and these taste the best. Great Value panko has a slightly different, worse taste, 4C is pretty good, but Kikoman is the best hands down. For authentic Japanese cooking, use Kikoman.
We make panko chicken (my kids are half Japanese) and its a dinner we make a lot! I steam rice and fry the chicken. Better than any fried chicken you can buy. I usually mix in some powdered garlic with the egg, and then I add some parmesan cheese in with the panko. Dip the chicken in flour, then egg then panko. Turn when brown. We usually have shoyu %26 ponzu sauce to dip. Nice healthy side of steamed white or brown rice. Kids love the left overs in their lunch bentos for school.
So a friend makes the best chicken parm and I learned that he uses these Panko breadcrumbs instead of regular. What a difference it makes! I love it.
We use panko for many different cooking needs. Anything that calls for breadcrumbs we use Panko and our recipes turn out exactly as we intend them to. We have been using Panko for the past 20 years and have always gotten consistent results. This was a good price and it is nice to have backups (as I ordered a multi-pack).
Kikkoman Panko Japanese Style Bread Crumbs, is sooo delish. I use it when I bske and fry my red snapper and my whiting. I season my fish with some seasonings that I mixed in a small container and the shake the fish in a ziplock bag full of the Kikkoman Panko Japanese Style Bread Crumbs. We have used this on party wings as well. We love it!
Was looking for a breadcrumb for my meatloaf...wanted to improve on my Mom's recipe where she'd use saltine crackers crushed up...this worked, it binded well. Then one day I had catfish and decided to use on a few pieces as a test...after seasoning with dried chives and a bit of salt the panko...i coated my fish in an egg wash, then breaded/covered with the panko...when I tell you I will be using this an an alternative to cornmeal from now on...forget about breading chicken tenders...this is a can't fail breading. See picture for difference in cornmeal vs panko fried fish...can you tell which is which...both tastes fantastic, but that panko crisp was out of this world.
for the cost, it delivers a very superior product that is underutilized and full utilization will cause your reputation to rise to a very high level
I have purchased this item many many times it expires December 27. I just used it today which is November 2 in between the slices. It was moldy and I this has been kept in our refrigerator from the day. I got here.. and you can check my history. I’ve started using delivery service and pick up service when Covid started. I’ve never had moldy meat before, but this is absolutely terrible.
