Frisch's Tartar Sauce, 16 ounce jar

When Walmart started carrying this brand of tartar sauce, I was so happy because it brought back great memories. I use it a lot, especially in the summer time when we grill out but don't get me wrong. I use this year round too. I use it with shrimp too. I don't like other brands of tartar sauce because they taste too much like mayonnaise which I don't like. In my opinion, this is definitely a much higher caliber of tartar sauces. You can't go wrong buy this.

My family has been using this restaurant brand for DECADES!! Like over half a century! They even had dates at a local restaurant when they were younger, before they married %26 used to buy it at the restaurant, when we would have a dinner or lunch at a nearby location. However, that location closed due to bad management %26 has never reopened. There are still other locations that we now occasionally frequent - it's just that there are no more Frisch's that's less than 2 miles away anymore or on the way home from work! So glad it's in stores now %26 at a reasonable retail. My dad loves to slather this on all of his hamburgers - no matter where his hamburger or cheeseburger is from - this will be spread onto %26 into the bun of that sandwich! My mom loves it too. She's not as big on cheeseburgers or hamburgers, but she does like fish sandwiches. Even though she's now old enough that she doesn't have to follow the rules for fish %26 fasting on Fridays during the lenten season, she still has even more fish sandwiches or fried fish meals %26 uses the Frisch's tartar sauce - even if the fish isn't from Frisch's!

This is a staple in my home, especially since most Frisch's restaurants have closed in the past few years. If you crave that Big Boy taste, buy this. It's gotten a little pricey, but it's what I like on my burgers, fish, and even dip my french fries in it.

The flavor is just what I was looking for. It doesn't have that overly sweet taste that a lot of store bought tarter sauce has. Tastes like what I remember from the restaurant,years ago when we took my sister to college. l will definitely buy again.

This is the best! I remember eating this at Frisch's Big Boy years ago. I was so happy to find it at Walmart. It still taste's great after all of these years! So happy I found it. Great value for the money.

Frisch's Tartar sauce has been a family tradition for many years. Still has the taste you remember, big jars are generously sized to last. A favorite that has earned its place at top of list

This is doubled the price! This Tartar sauce is $6 at Meijer. That's the only reason why I gave it a one-star other than that the taste is excellent but I would never buy it from here ever again. If Walmart doesn't carry it maybe you need to look into putting this on your shelves because $12 for some tartar sauce is ridiculous. PLEASE stock this brand!!!

Let me tell you about my experience with Delivery from the store. This jar of tartar sauce was left on my front porch at 11:16 at night. Fortunately I was still awake when I got the notice. The jar was broken in half with tartar sauce, spilling out everywhere, but the driver who delivered it, just left it there. There was no way that he didn't know that that jar was broken in half because that was the only thing in the bag and the second I went to pick it up, I knew the jar was broken in half. I am totally disgusted that any of your drivers would leave something like that. Therefore, I don't trust Delivery service from Walmart anymore. Very bad experience. Do not recommend that you use delivery from the store. Frischs tartar sauce is the best there is, but of course, I did not get to use that jar. Had to be tossed. Walmart should reimburse me, but it would be my word against the driver who left it on my porch, so you know how that would pan out.

FedEx delivered it to the wrong house, took a picture with it laying on a concrete porch. umm not mine. I have tried to find Frisch's Tartar Sauce for a long time, upsetting to finally order it, and someone else is now enjoying it!!

not even close to what is should be. went to frisches just 2 weeks ago to make sure i wasn't tripping. it doesn't even taste the same as what's in the restaurant. very disappointed
