I love pickled things as well as sweet when it comes to foods like this. So, one night I was craving something else other than dill or sweet pickles. Decided to add these to my cart, all I can say is Delicious. Eat them by themselves, pasta salad, macaroni salad, as an add on with a hoagie or sandwich. Give them a try, I honestly think that if you are into their sort of flavor, that you will love them .
These have such a nice tangy pickled flavor and add nice texture to sandwiches and salad. I think they're worth the price because a jar lasts quite a while. They keep the same taste and texture for weeks in the fridge as long as you put the lid on tight.
I love them on my sandwiches and salads . I am sad that I can't gind them anymore. I hope Walmart restocks this item. because i will always buy 3-4 jars at a time .
Love these so much! I wish I would have known about them sooner! I put them on salad, tacos, nachos, chicken wraps. They are amazing on everything I put them on. I also like to chop up some purple onion when they are all gone and use up the rest of the vinegar to make more and maximize the value! I bet if you like pickled eggs it would be delicious to throw a couple in for a couple of days and then eat!
I was on the fence about buying these, as I hadn't tried them before, and also because I was afraid they'd have too much "bite". While I do like onions, I don't like overly strong ones. These aren't overly strong, and I was pleasantly surprised at how great the taste is! Many jarred onion products, (imo), aren't that great, but I totally LOVE these! I plan to try them in different recipes, plus I'll add them to a deli meat and cheese appetizer plate for company. They're totally scrumptious!, and I'll definitely buy them again.
These were a bit expensive but the quality is definitely there. If you are looking for deli or restaurant style pickled onions these are fantastic to jazz up a burger or sandwich.
The only reason this does not get an overall 5 stars is because it ships and is not in stock in the store. I ordered two orders of two jars and got one order and the other one was lost. Walmart customer service line took care of the issue as far as price and gave me a credit. I am just not going to do a double order ever again. It wasn't the company nor Walmart but the shipper that lost the one two jar order. These are so much better than the regular red onions by another company because they have lime in them for one reason. I do love them and put them on salads and nachos. Whether eating them straight out of the jar in recipes they are wonderful and so convenient.
If you like sugar in vinegar water, go for it. It seems like regular yellow onions or white onions and vinegar water with food coloring and a lot of sugar.
these are delicious, they are a bit lighter in flavor than the other popular name brand. I like that, but sometimes I like full flavor, so I have a jar of each brand! lol
