Was really hoping the new spatula would be soft like my old one. It is not. Old one of the same brand was nice and soft and got every bit of batter or whatever out of a bowl. This one is much stiffer and I don't actually like it.

Not the Silicone Spatula it replaced. The original was of soft silicone tapering to a thin, super compliant edge that excelled at cleanly "squeegeeing" soft food from curved surfaces like mixing bowls and the insides of jars - it was the best ever and our favorite for many years. The original is wearing out and we ordered two of these as replacements - what a disappointment! The much stiffer rubber and coarser edge don't conform to curved surfaces well and we're looking for something else. The present design might be good for mixing stiff batter or spreading peanut butter, but there are plenty of other tools for that. The original was a winner, what would it take to bring it back?

After washing in extremely hot water and Dawn it still retained the smell of greek yogurt after using it for the first time

I had a favorite spatula, and this was it. I ordered two new ones, and they're not at all similar to the one I used all the time. They're stiff and useless - a waste of money.
