Google Nest Thermostat - Programmable Smart Thermostat for Home - Snow

I replaced an old gen 1 nest thermostat that had a battery die, and wouldn't connect to wifi anymore. This device was more than half the cost at a normal price and better than that with the $40 off promotion from Walmart. Although the screw holes didn't fit exactly nor did the wall plate, the wires were already identified and install was quick.

We have a pretty routine schedule, so setting a schedule has worked well for us. We also love that you can change the temp from anywhere. Only downside is we had to buy a plate to cover where the previous tstat was located. It was fairly inexpensive and looks great.

I needed a new thermostat for my shop and I love the Nest products so I ordered this one. It is very modern and high tech looking and is perfect. This is my second Nest thermostat and I like the ability to adjust the temp from anywhere on my phone, with the Nest app. Love the new color and screen.

Brand new unopened and works very well. I did connect the C wire and so far so good. Very elegant and modern looking versus the old dirty, dingy original thermostat.

I dont know why all tgese reviews are bad, mayve people just aren't familiar with things like this. I am happy with this thermostat. I'm getting ready to paint soon so im not concerned about having the mounting plate.

I used to have the Gen 1 %26 2, they tried to save money by not turning on %26 the app never connected. This one isn't supposed to be a learning thermostat. At first it appeared to work great. It turned on when it was supposed to and the online app connected every time and activated the thermostat within a few seconds. After 30 days now it tries to be a learning thermostat. It doesn't trigger until it's 2° past what it's set for. I can sit in front of it and watch it go 2° over and sometimes it still doesn't turn on until I manually push the awkward side button. This is with all the extras turned off and even if I pass in front of it. Sometimes the temperature will show a ridiculous amount and still not turn on, see attached. It's in a hallway that is dark and the display doesn't get bright enough to see. Bring back the mercury switch or thermostats without Ai that can do very very simple math

I just received and opened the box, I noticed that the tamper-evident seal had already been broken, and the batteries inside were scattered.

Order the thermostat on Mar 6, 2024, when I opened it it was clearly used item, no batteries with dust inside the back side!! No sticker on top, side sticker with wrong Google address, see photos. We just installed another one so I know how new one looks like. Sent it back, it was delivered next day. More than 2 months and still waiting for a refund! Contacted Walmart twice, still nothing. My time not worth the $20 discount it was on, save your time and don't buy anything.
