makes best tasting chocolate milk anywhere especially of you mix a bit glass and let it sit in the fridge for 3-5 days (stirring occasionally) uncovered . I like that is doesnt mix up completely - you get those crunchy bit of the top and thats even better
I really prefer this chocolate drink mix to any other I've tried. The chocolate flavor is dense and not as sweet as most of the mixes out there and it's smooth and rich in even skim milk. I've stirred it into softened cream cheese to make a luscious spread for fruit, bread or even peanut butter sandwiches, and mixed with water and cooked down a bit it's the only ingredient needed for a lovely chocolate sauce. I'm really glad I discovered this product: it's delicious, versatile and truly is a great value!
This is by far THE BEST chocolate milk mix on the market. I make up a pint every day to take with to work in the morning and have it a few times a week for dessert after supper. It has a genuine chocolate taste as it contains REAL cocoa unlike the name brands which taste phony. Now if I could just get the Walmart in my area to carry it regularly I would be on cloud 9 as it were. Great value for the price too [it's not just the name-lol]. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys real chocolate flavor in their milk. It tastes great in Lactaid too! (unfortunately I've become lactose intolerant over the years) I even get malt once and in a while and the flavor is an absolute delight. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN STOCK AT ALL YOUR STORES, WALMART!!!!!!! If I could give it 100 stars I would...that's how much I like it. :)
im pretty picky about my chocolate milk/powder. only used nesquik for years. not only do i like this one, and its cheaper, i add it to my oatmeal, coffee, etc too. i just cant see adding nesquik though. this one is just more versatile, flavor wise.
12 oz more than the large container Nesquik, but it's not more really, just heavier. Nesquik is lighter powder, kinda like sand, here and there, the Walmart brand on the other hand is "cement-ish", with large sugar pieces. It's not a bad thing though, just different. The Walmart brand is more crispy, has a stronger, more "chocolaty" and kinda baked taste. I really like it. Color: - Darker than Nesquik. I tested it in milk, it tastes nice, but the sugar gets separated and gets on the bottom of the glass. So, if you drink the cocoa, you get a significant amount of pure sugar in your glass. I guess I just wouldn't eat that. However, this chocolate powder is pretty excellent in Malt-O-Meal Coco Wheats Breakfast Cereal / samolina. I guess I prefer the Great Value over Nesquik. I would say it's just slightly cheaper, but I guess I'll but it for Coco Wheats breakfast, and I buy Nesquik for making chocolate milk. I rate it 4/5 stars. It gets my seal of approval.
The first time my husband bought this for me, it was great. Unlike most people, I am happy that it doesn't mix well. I actually enjoy using a straw and eating the mix that's on the top. Then he bought the next one and it sank in the milk and I had what I guess is cocoa. It's got little piece of bitter powder. For whatever reason, I get one that I enjoy and the next time I may end up with the cocoa powder. Also, they are different colors. The one I like is a lighter brown than the one with the cocoa powder balls...that one is very dark. With all of this info, I do recommend this product. But, I'd also like Walmart to do have better quality control, so I can buy this product and have it be the same each time. Preferably in the form I prefer. I'm attaching a photo of the two types of the same product. One is much darker, and has the cocoa powder remnants. While the other one is a lighter brown and tastes better to me, plus it lets me use my straw to snack on the mix on the top of my milk. I know this all seems odd. But, I'm just me... enjoying the mix that doesn't have bitter unsweetened cocoa powder remnants in it.
This is why there is no ingredient (label) list given in product description. Contains( copied from container label): Sugar, Cocoa**Processed with Alkali), Salt, ARTIFICIAL chocolate flavor, Corn Starch, Anhydrous Dextrose( a synthesized chemical sweetener!!), Silicone Dioxide, Water,PROPYLENE GLYCOL( a synthetic antifreeze!!), Corn Syrup (high fructose?!!), Caramel Color(an artificial dye!!),Glycerin(sugar alcohol or polyol), Salt, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Triacetin( a TRIGLYCERIDE of glycol !!), Vanillin Powder......
Was previously a 5-star product, up through Feb of 2022 - but then the container changed from a milky-clear to a solid white.. and the ingredients changed. Not what's written on the label, that hasn't changed, but now there is CINNAMON in this. I can smell the cinnamon, I can taste the cinnamon. It is like the flavor of the inside of a "pecan spinwheel" but with chocolate added. I know some people like cinnamon in their chocolate and if you do, you'll probably REALLY like this. The old version was surprisingly tasty, and I'm sad that it changed. I don't like Nesquik or Hersheys, the only other chocolate milk mix I like is Carnation Malted Chocolate and it is so much more expensive and so hard to find!
I make my own coffee mixes and decided to give this a try. Normally, I prefer GV over brand names, but in this case, no. It had an overly strong taste and left a bad after taste as well. It took over 2 months for me to use it all since I had to mix it with a brand name to try and soften it down some. Way too strong. My family wouldn't even drink it as a chocolate milk drink. I'd say it's more like a lightly sweetened baking chocolate, if that.
Does not mix well at all. You have to stir for like 5 minutes or longer and I mean this literally. It does not taste good either. I was expecting something that tasted like chocolate at least. It is just not worth the money. If you are going to buy any chocolate flavorings go for nestle Quik. Spend the extra money. Walmart could have done a lot better. I am a Mom and honestly no Mom has the time with children to stir chocolate milk for more then 20 to 30 seconds.
