I keep this as a staple iny pantry for when I'm out of fresh milk. Mixed with bottled Spring Water (our faucet water is terrible), the taste is great. I can't really taste any difference from the Great Value fresh fat free milk I buy. I do remember when dry milk was a lot cheaper than fresh but everything is more expensive and I like the convenience.
I've tried them all. NIDO is good but mixing with very cold water is a hard no. This mixes very well with filtered water straight from the fridge. I suggest using a scale to weigh the powder rather than using volume measurements. Product that has settled to the bottom is much denser than that on top.
Wonderful Bird flu concerns? No problems with powdered Long term storage concerns? U want 2% %26 if properly stored, last for years %26 years! Tired of every week going to buy milk? Mix up only what u need! Cooking? use this same as bottled milk! Value? There is no waste of not using it "in time" I just use a quart mason jar, add water, add milk, shake...u can use or drink it right after u shake it! All the vitamins and nutrients even if ur lights are out, ie Hurricanes! I've been buying it for years😛
Love this powdered milk. I mix it with Carnation Instant Breakfast that I also order from Walmart. I use it for homemade hot cocoa, in baking, and more. It's convenient to have. Comes in handy when you're out of regular milk. I found that if I add more powder to the water, I can get a less watery blend.
I have been using this product for several years. It's a great way to get extra protein, especially for me since I'm on a gastroparesis diet. I use it every day and plan to continue using it as long as it's available. I mix it with 1% milk. It dissolves quickly and easily in cold milk.
Great Value Nonfat Powdered Milk has 2 yr expiration date. I store it at cool temp and use it within one year. Walmart delivery and shipping always packs new stock with ample expiration and good product quality. Thank you to the entire team. Drivers too.
I use this milk for baking cakes, breads, cooked cereals, etc. I add it to pancake mix and biscuit mix for nutrition and flavor. It doesn't work for instant pudding, however, but I concentrate it for use in my homemade pumpkin pie from scratch (used instead of evaporated milk). It is about the same price as fresh milk, unfortunately, but the good news is that it keeps perfectly in my cupboard (tightly sealed container) and can be a great plan B when milk is scarce. If mixed ahead and chilled cold, it tastes the same as fresh zero fat milk.
package had a label slapped on the bag and they tossed it to the mail person. it was tossed onto my porch. as far as i can tell, no holes in the bag. delivery sketchy. never again. figured they might at least put in a small box or SOMETHING to try to protect it.
well it tastes like milk however im not giving it a five star review because sometimes the bag has these little black specs in it. they dont look like bugs more like burnt milk so im guessing its a processing issue. theyre pretty easy to spot so i just filter them out before using the milk. so far it hasnt killed me yet
Confusing, since after paying for my order was informed some items were not available and I would not be charged for them, forcing me to see if in fact that would happen. Also, was offered the option of Walmart without clarifying it was only for one month, which surprised me when the month ended. As for the products bought, no complaints since I have bought items from Walmart before without any issues.
