I purchased so many cans of the crushed tomatoes they make the best tomato sauce they make the best soup all in all great value brand crushed tomatoes are delicious I pair with great value tomato sauce %26 paste Combined they make a delectable tomato sauce 🥫 And high in vitamin C which is another added bonus
It’s a tomatoes in a can what can I say. I think you need to be more worried about the delivery company/people than this stupid stuff. FedEx sucks!!! Found quarter mile from my house!!!!!!!
Delicious can of tomatoes. I use this when I make my homemade marinara sauce and I wouldn’t even consider using the brands that are double the price. Delicious and an even better price tag.
88 cents turned to 1.58 in a year, but this review is for when i bought them at 88 cents in 12/2024. Now, in 11/2025, they doubled in price. the quality %26 taste is good, but i won't pay the price they want. im now buying augason Farm Products, and they're actually cheaper.
I hope the price stays affordable on these tomatoes. Fry up ( in good olive oil, like Pompein robusto) some onions and garlic, with black and red pepper, and salt. Then, add it to three cans of crushed tomatoes, and two of the larger cans of paste, for an outstanding pasta sauce. Slow cook. 3 hours.
From one Italian to another or not this is my go to crushed tomatoes when enough tomatoes are not canned/bought/not at fresh markets. Road side sellers of fresh crops are great for heirloom tomatoes which I use, others are fine as well for sure. If you think they may be a bit tart to you, try a very small amount of sugar stir for full blend, small taste and simply go from. there. Yeah you!!
These crushed tomatoes make the perfect pizza sauce. A lot of professional chefs use crushed tomatoes as the sole sauce for pizza. Just add herbs and a splash of olive oil. No cooking required. I also use these crushed tomatoes to give soups and stews more body. Combined with Great Value Diced Tomatoes, I get just the right consistency. Highly recommend.
One of the cans had a large dent in the middle of it.
This product is perfectly fine but I wish they had tomato paste in a tube so we aren't wasting so much. The flavor of this is ok, it's not Red Gold or the tube. Which the Walmart near me says they have according to the app but I've yet to find it. Always be sure to bloom your tomato paste in your pan along with your spices. This takes the bitterness out of the tomato paste %26 brings out the sweetness. Do this for a couple of minutes before adding the rest of your ingredients. You could have already have sautéed your onions %26 garlic before adding tomato paste %26 spices, that is fine.
This 28oz can of crushed tomatoes was delivered yesterday but both sides of this can are bulging. No other dents in the can so this would suggest some kind of other contamination . This came from the Walmart in Jacksonville TX.
