Great Value Original Instant Oatmeal, 0.98 oz, 12 Count

My wife and I go through a box of these a week, maybe a touch more. I'm not going to get into the "steel cut vs. old fashioned vs. instant oats debate. Just know that nutritionally, they are very similar. Fiber: 3gm per packet Total Sugar: 0g per packet Protein: 4gm per packet Sodium: 75mg per packet Possibilities for adjuncts: Endless!!! I like a little dusting of Ceylon Cinnamon and a swirl of Maple Syrup on the finished Oatmeal. Topped with 2 Jumbo eggs cooked Sunnyside Up. Dusted w/smoked Paprika and Cayenne pepper powder... Just sayin' Freshly ground Himalayan Salt to taste would not suck!

This oatmeal is perfect. It has great consistency, the flavor is spot on and it is a healthy meal anytime of the day. I personally leave it sitting covered for 5-10 min and it absorbs more water and cooks better. I love this oatmeal and eat it at least once a day.

This tastes every bit the same as more expensive brands. The packaging like the boxes or the tubes it comes in isn't the best quality. But good enough to get it from the factory to your pantry in one piece. I like to add zero fat Lactaid milk or generic version to my oatmeal because it makes an otherwise bland cereal taste better.

This is my daughter's and my breakfast each morning. Simple, healthy, and delicious. I was expecting very basic, but it is surprisingly as good and better than several name brands we have tried. We prepare it with our favorite fruits like strawberries and bananas.

I purchase this to eat every morning and as by now, I'm sure everyone's heard that oatmeal is healthy, full of fiber, etc. I have to admit though, that I much prefer the flavored ones, but this one is plain and results in better blood sugar control. As for consistency, I don't like ANY oatmeal in that area, I'm someone who HAS to have toast with mine!

first time trying this and really liked it, i used water instead of milk but after it was ready i mixed in 3 teaspoons of my low cal., non fat strawberry/banana yogurt, so good! will continue to buy and add my yogurt instead of sugar, maybe get blueberry yogurt next time.

The right amount for a quick microwave breakfast. Put your water in a bowl, shake in some salt and add a couple of spoonfuls of sugar either white or brown sugar to the water. Pour in the packet and cook for about 2 minute. Then stir in your margarine or butter. I usually cook for 30 sec to 1 minute more. Of course, honey, syrup, cinnamon, or milk can be added, if you like that kind of a thing.

Like i said 40 years ago Plain Oatmeal tastes %26 eats like pulp wood ! i only eat it because it is good for me ! i add 6 ingredients to doctor it up so i can eat it. wish Walmart would do the Doctoring for taste but still have it just as healthy ! can you do this Walmart ??? Won't be easy !

This is all I usually purchase (for oatmeal). I like it! My actual frustration is that I ordered with the delivery service. Attempted to return because the packets were open (bad seal from the factory) and get outdated AI that won't connect you with live representative. My return issues have worsened with them. Yes it's less than two dollars but this isn't the first time . It's more the principle. The competition is growing. I hope Walmart gets this! The oatmeal is good but Walmart needs to work on the customer service. Seriously it's progressively worse!

There is nothing wrong with this instant oat meal. It's not my usual oat meal brand that I buy . So for my personal choice I was not a fan . It's still a great value for the price and if it's your go to oat meal along with other Great Value flavored oat meal you will no doubt enjoy it. I will end up using the rest of the oat meal I have left over in baking recipes such as oat meal cookies so I still feel like I was a good choice as far as quanity and price .
