I love this kit. Easy to prepare and can have a perfect plate of pad thai in minutes. I'd buy it again. The photo is just 1/3 of one kit.
I love this kit, the trick is to rinse noodles well in a strainer. It should be prepared in high heat I usually do thin sliced carrots, peppers, water chestnuts
Good taste and easy to prepare. Small portions, only enough for 2.
Very sour mix vs sweet. Noodles come precooked and not break a lot when reheating and aren't as crunchy as I'd like
The nearest place for me to get pad thai is about 35 min away, so I figured I'd save some gas and money by trying this "item" (for lack of a better word). I should have realized my mistake from the moment I struggled to take the package apart.... My favorite is shrimp pad thai, and I had some gorgeous shrimp, so I began cooking those. I followed the instructions and rinsed the noodles, which didn't seem right... not only were they crumbling into smaller-than-bite-sized pieces for a toddler (they shouldn't crumble at all), but the texture was off. Well, I took a look at the package again and it turns out they're WHEAT noodles - pad thai is made with RICE noodles! In fact, traditionally pad thai is gluten-free (just need to verify the sauces used). As a gluten-sensitive person, that's on me for not double-checking, but seriously, every other packaged version I've had uses rice noodles! I should have stopped there, but I was willing to endure the belly ache because I've been craving pad thai for a week, plus my shrimp and onions were already done cooking. I added the sauce per the instructions and was horrified to find it smelled and looked like a burnt soy sauce sludge. Figuring I was already this far in so I should just eat it anyway, well... even the mountain of peanuts and ample lime juice couldn't save it. I finally decided to cut my losses and pick out my now-defiled shrimp and as many peanuts as I could and throw the rest away. Now that my taste buds and stomach have been violated by such a slimy toxic mess, I plan to drive the 35 minutes and pay the $18 to avenge them. The only positive thing I can say about this item is that it came with a small pouch of chopped peanuts.
the prep instructions were messed up. I rinsed the noodles in warm water but it stayed like a block of noodles. So it made cooking it very difficult. I didnt like the sauce as I do in other kits
it tastes like Lay's BBQ chips unless you add so much Sriracha that it takes the BBQ flavor away just a bit. Will not repurchase again.
IT EXPIRED AUGUST OF 2022. ALMOST A YEAR, I BOUGHT ON JULY 8TH 2023
Not even close to what Pad Thai should taste like. Sauce is too salty. Not a good product at all.
Gross, tastes bad, unhealthy ingredients. Waste of money and bad for your health.
