Great Value Pure Granulated Sugar, 4 lbs

Excellent product—fine, white, and not damp. I love it and recommend it 100%. It is excellent for baking.

Great Value Granulated Sugar is a tasty addition to many desserts that I make. It is fresh and has a good flavor. It does not have clumps in it like some other brands have. Once opened, I put in a gallon size baggie to retain freshness. It has a good texture and is great with coffee, in a small dose.

I make hummingbird food no dyes no extra nada nothing just 1 cup sugar 4 cups water boil then cool then put in a glass hummingbird feeder I have had tons of hummingbirds all summer in Gonzales Texas,,,, I change the water every 4 days very important!!!!

This has been my go to granulated sugar for years. I use it whenever my recipes call for white granulated sugar and they turn out delicious every time. I also keep it in an airtight canister in my camper for coffee in the mornings and have had no issues with it getting turned into a large unusable clump. A great value for the price!

I actually do not use white sugar for anything other than making Hummingbird nectar but those hummingbirds 💕💕💕💕💕 my nectar I make for them. I mean it has to be AWESOMELY delicious because that one male chases all the other hummingbirds away from HIS nectar 😎

Another great economically priced item from Walmart! I don't use much sugar myself but during the warm months I keep feeders up for the hummingbirds. and, it doesn't take long to go through quite a bit of sugar in preparing nectar. I can always rely on Walmart to offer large bags of sugar at reasonable prices.

This is one of the limited few products that is worth the cost. The dollar to value ratio is at least 1:1. There are not many items at Walmart grocery that have an equal ratio. The sugar is clean, the sweetness is just right. To me it seems foolish to buy national brand name sugar. I have personally sampled, as a taste test, Great Value, Dixie Crystal, and CH brands granulated sugar. I will tell you that Dixie seemed a bit sweeter for the same measure, however, the difference is less than negligible. Not enough difference to justify the extra expense for Dixie when compared to GV. CH sugar did not offer any perceptible difference. GV granulated is a fair priced staple, offering virtually the same taste and sweetness as other branded sugars. I can't reconcile why anyone would spend more money for a product that is generally produced the same way, performs identically across the spectrum of recipes, and is just as widely available as the other aforementioned brands Hope this review is helpful

I personally prefer buying the 4 pound bag of sugar for my baking needs, I feel it lasts longer in the pantry! The sweetness of the sugar is pretty up to par, it usually will dissolve fairly well when used for coffee, and convenience wise I love using it in teas as well! Overall a great and woethwhile purchase, will buy again! 🎂☕️

if you're use to domino sugar, it tastes Meh, it'll work fine if there's nothing else available. Bowl and basket cane sugar is much better in flavor and won't have you questioning your tongue. I'm going back to domino until I find something equal or better.

I no longer recommend this sugar for baking. I've consistently bought it over the last few years with no issues, but suddenly it is MUCH more fine than standard granulated sugar. This will effect your recipes if you're baking cookies or cakes from scratch. If using this sugar for baking be sure to use a kitchen scale for accurate measurements.
