Great Value Pure Granulated Sugar, 4 lbs

Great Value Granulated Sugar is a tasty addition to many desserts that I make. It is fresh and has a good flavor. It does not have clumps in it like some other brands have. Once opened, I put in a gallon size baggie to retain freshness. It has a good texture and is great with coffee, in a small dose.

I make hummingbird food no dyes no extra nada nothing just 1 cup sugar 4 cups water boil then cool then put in a glass hummingbird feeder I have had tons of hummingbirds all summer in Gonzales Texas,,,, I change the water every 4 days very important!!!!

This has been my go to granulated sugar for years. I use it whenever my recipes call for white granulated sugar and they turn out delicious every time. I also keep it in an airtight canister in my camper for coffee in the mornings and have had no issues with it getting turned into a large unusable clump. A great value for the price!

Nice and sweet. The package doesn't indicate whether this is cane or beet sugar (cane is generally considered better), but the taste is great and I don't have to buy 20 pounds at a time to get a decent price per pound. I tried this when my regular brand Zulka was out of stock. No complaints; it's a worthy addition to my morning coffee. In my opinion, just as good as the major brands. but cheaper.

Great Value Sugar is sold at a reasonable price and I see NO difference between GV sugar and the premium brands except for the price. There is one thing I'm noticing that deserves a shout out … and that is that the GV sugar is not “clumping” even in this cold to hot to cold temperatures we are having right now. I will always be purchasing Great Value Sugar from this day forward!

What's to say? Sugar is sugar. Like so many foods, walmart engages in shrinkflation. Years back, a bag was 5 pounds, not 4. Regardless, been buying this for years. There are only so many sugar producers and walmart is not one of them. Be careful opening this and the 10%23 package. The top is folded flat and glued, but sugar can find it's way into the flap and make a mess when you open it.

type 2 Dibetic and I use 10-15 lbs. of sugar every month and I live alone ,I don't recommend this to anyone but I control my diabetes naturally but I still have to have granulated sugar and Walmart always makes it possible I rate the sugar a 5 but if I could I would give it a master rating of 10 many blessings and have awesomely blessed day

I needed to make a large batch of simple syrup. I was having a crowd over at my house and wanted to make cherry limeade like they serve at sonic. This granulated sugar was ground fine so it dissolved easily and added the sweetness kick needed without a heavy taste of sugar.

I will be the first to say that I am usually one of those people who when I find a product, no matter the cost. I usually stick with that, but after purchasing this great value, granulated sugar I'm now a different type of believer, this sugar is just as good as all the other brands.

I no longer recommend this sugar for baking. I've consistently bought it over the last few years with no issues, but suddenly it is MUCH more fine than standard granulated sugar. This will effect your recipes if you're baking cookies or cakes from scratch. If using this sugar for baking be sure to use a kitchen scale for accurate measurements.
