Strong flavor—use a little less!
This has a really good vanilla flavor and works great for baking. One thing to note is that it's definitely stronger than brands like McCormick, so you may want to use a little less than you normally would. Overall, great quality and a good value—I'd buy it again!

Exactly What I Needed
I was trying my hand with making homemade fondant and wasn't sure abount most of the ingredients. Never knwew there was such a thing as clear vanilla extract. Only used the dark. Now I know and glad for it.

Vanilla Clear Imitation Extract
I love using this vanilla. It helps give my angel food cakes the best flavor and also leaves it a beautiful white. It adds really good flavor to lots of good eats. Can't usually find clear vanilla in this big of a bottle in the grocery.

Necessary ingredient
Watkins clear vanilla is a necessary ingredient in our bakery's gourmet chocolate chip cookies and our buttercream frosting. Wouldn't be without it!

Baked a cake I can't eat.
I'm used to checking for propylene glycol in hair %26 skin products, but not for this %26 that was my mistake because I'm allergic. Read the ingredients list before buying. It does not have a vanilla flavor, the cake %26 icing tasted like sweet milk. I'm not impressed with this %26 up until now I had always been happy with Watkins.

Watkins brand is known for its high quality of extracts. But the individual who pulled my order purchased the wrong items! I'd chosen the brand, gave a substitute, yet I get this. I don't use IMITATION Vanilla Extract. After using the imitation there was a distinct difference in flavor. Again, for imitation vanilla extract Watkins does it right and if you don't have a preference, Watkins Imitation Vanilla is perfect for your cooking needs. It simply wasn't what I wanted and needed!
