Once or twice a month I prepare a Nacho Buffet that my family really enjoys- sometimes for dinner, sometimes for an easy meal while watching a game or a movie: Restaurant style tortilla chips, bowls with warm cheese sauce, refried beans, freshly chopped onions, fresh diced tomatoes, black olives, sour cream in the squeeze dispenser and, of course, the seasoned ground beef. This GV Taco Seasoning gives the beef the authentic tasty character needed for a unanimous Thumbs Up from all who partake. Always a hit and a much better value than the soggy mess Doordash delivers from the local Mexican take out.
This is the original taco seasoning, so it has a bit more of a ‘kick' than the mild version. Of course you can add some chili powder to give a little more kick! Really easy. SUGGESTION-when you brown the meat, make sure that you brown it into smaller pieces.
Perfect for my family's taco salad. We are not a hot and spice family. This seasoning had just the right amont of "heat" and flavor -- perfect for members of our family with multiple tastes. I placed on the table some hot sauce, just in case someone wanted more heat but the bottle was unopened. Yes, this seasoning was perfect and delicious.
Great Value taco seasoning is a simple and affordable blend that adds solid flavor to ground beef, chicken, or turkey. It has a balanced mix of spices with a mild heat and classic taco taste. It mixes easily into meat and works well for quick week night meals like tacos, burritos, or taco bowls. It's not overly complex, but it's consistent and reliable for everyday cooking.
I am a quadriplegic and I bought a couple of these sell. my caregiver could add some seasoning to my ground turkey and it functions. I just use it in small increments and reseal the bag and a Ziploc baggie. but definitely worth the price and also makes it so that the ground turkey isn't a bland. it's actually yummy
I'd give this 5 out of 5 stars for sure. This Great Value Taco Seasoning Mix is honestly a staple in my kitchen now. The flavor is really good—well balanced, not too salty, and it gives tacos that classic, seasoned taste without needing to add a bunch of extra spices. It's also super easy to use, which I appreciate on busy nights. Just add it to the meat and you're good to go. It comes out consistent every time, which makes cooking a lot less stressful. For the price, you really can't beat it. It delivers great flavor without spending more on name brands, and I honestly don't feel like I'm missing anything by going with this one. Overall, I definitely recommend it. If you're looking for a simple, tasty taco seasoning that just works, this is a great choice.
This meal was so much fun! Mumma asked the kiddos to help her make tacos! She added this spice mix to the meat. This mix enhanced the robust taste of her special made tacos! Now, we all know mumma's secret spices for her amazing tacos! A must try!
I've tried a bunch of different taco seasonings, from the expensive organic packets to the big-name brands, but I honestly keep coming back to this one. It has the perfect balance of spice and flavor without being overly salty, which is usually my biggest complaint with pre-mixed seasonings. It thickens up nicely when you add the water and gives the meat a really rich, classic taco truck color. For the price, you really can't beat it—I usually keep five or six packets in the pantry for quick weeknight dinners. If you're looking for that standard, "perfect" taco night taste, this is definitely the way to go.
I always season from scratch but my roommates prefer a mix and this is just as good as the brand name ones at about half price. Why pay more?! there is a 25% larger pouch for 10 cents more if you need a bigger batch. Some day I'll make up a shaker of homemade but this is easy, thrifty and tastes good.
I'm trying to review the vegetable oil. No Ty bottle tops smashed in. Damaged and making it difficult to pour and use. Why do you always give the bad stuff to online orders? I realize this is under the wrong item but veg oil wouldn't allow me to leave a comment
