Works well, heats food very well. Everything you'd expect from a microwave. It's pretty big. Has this “locking” feature.. after you warm your food you have to press unlock to open the microwave sometimes. Idk what's the purpose but it doesn't bother me at all. Overall solid microwave.

I was a little leery about the child proof lock. Copied the instructions down on how to deactivate it from it's description @ Walmart.com. Didn't need to as instructions were on the door. Deactivated lock before ever using. Easy to use, it's huge %26 seems to be working great. You don't have to hold onto it to keep it from moving when you open the door. One of the other microwaves I considered had a video that showed just that so crossed it off my list. One of these days I'll read the manual but so far I've used most features and haven't had to.

love the size and wattage if this microwave. heats and cooks everything perfectly. you have to unlock it after each use but i got used to it and it's not a deal breaker for me. i am very happy with this purchase and look forward to using this for years to come.

had one for years nelt broke so bought this one more features but when thawing out food you have to use ounces so if your thawing out 2lbs you have to put 32 on the defrost by weight function 3 defrost functions meat is one press chicken is 2 presses and fish is 3 presses on weights defrost just do not like the kitchen timer after setting ib a few seconds goes back to the clock and only beeps once when done THE OLD TURN TABLE GLASS PLATE ETC. FIT THIS ONE PERFECTLY

I like the lock machanism which won't allow the door to open after heating/cooking until one presses the 0 at the bottom of the unit. Safety at it's best! The heating is good 👍. Didn't realize it was as small as it looked on line. But it's a decent size for just two old folks!

My driver was totally awesome. She called and told me it was raining and she didn't want to leave the microwave in the rain. She brought it in the house and put it in a rolling chair so I wouldn't have to carry it into the kitchen. I think she is the best I have ever had!! She kept apologizing because they didn't have the correct amount of glucose tablets I had ordered Totally went above and beyond!.

This was purchased to replace a Toshiba, which is very similar and which failed after 6 years. I hope this will last longer. The pull door was a must-have, since push button latches are prone to fail. The child safety option is nice, but easily turned off, since I don't need it. User-friendly options include more options for cooking and defrosting than most. The clock is a night light brightness. Only down-side so far is the oven's weight. Was barely able to lift it, and guessing it's around 70 lbs. For something so heavy, the packing box really needs cutout handles, and purchasers may want to line up a strong fella to lift it. Great price!

This oven is what I've been looking for. I had to use my large outdated oven for everything, now I have an oven that fits all my needs and then some. I am still learning about all its features and am having fun with it. I am so happy with my new oven.

I purchased this microwave because I loved my previous one which is also Hamilton Beach. This microwave has a safety lock which can easily be disabled if not needed. Only two negatives. The power cord is shorter than my previous microwave so I had to rearrange my kitchen to place it on the counter. It is extremely loud, at least compared to last one.

I noticed right away that this microwave is HUGE! It took up my whole counter top space and looked bulky and out of place compared to my other kitchen appliances. But I had no choice if I wanted a 1,100 watt microwave for a decent price. First thing I noticed after plugging it in was the clock display was so bright that it literally lit up my kitchen at night and was lighting up half the house. Then after a couple days I noticed the clock on the microwave was about a minute slow, so I reset it. A couple days later it was almost a minute slow, again. I returned it and bought the Panasonic model: NN-SB65NS and have had no problems. It's 1,100 watts, is all stainless steel with a non stick coating on the inside, and it takes up considerably less counter top space. The only drawback is it doesn't have the steam sensing cooking technology that the Hamilton Beach has. It was online for $169, but I got it in store clearance priced at $102. The Hamilton Beach was $130.
