Excellent Product and saved me a lot of money buy not buying the more expensive machines, this product gets the job done and cleans up well in the dishwasher. We chose to buy two of their products this mixer and their bread machine and together the can accomplish what the more expensive machines' can do, so we saved money and if one breaks your not out several hundred dollars. Those two combined can handle bread doughs and yeast rolls plus cakes and cookies. So one machine for heavy dough and one for cookies works for us and we are happy with the purchase. The mixer itself seems very capable and we have used it a few times and it is excellent at mixing and its a fun kitchen toy. We are very satisfied with both purchases. Thanks.
I made cookies with it. I figured it out without the manual. The cookies looked like real cookies, and tasted great! I know not all of these observations can be attributed to this mixer, but it did not burst into flames, or spew noxios patroleum products into the cookies. (Some prior mixers I've owned have done this....I wish I had video!) Definately better on the pocket book than that billion dollar Kitchen-AIDS machine.
OK..hang on..this is lenghty but worth your time! I had a Kitchen Aid and a few year ago gave it to a lady that did a lot of baking for her church. Since I live alone I figured it would be more useful for her...forward to now...I decided I missed having a stand mixer to knead dough and other heavier things. Not being in the position to afford another Kitchen Aid, I started looking at alternatives. Hence I saw this Hamilton Beach one. I really liked the looks and the price so I decided to take a chance on it. Sooo glad I did! Now I'm not saying it is KA but it makes me happy! Now to those that have an issue with the beater not touching the bottom of the bowl...lets think 'outside of the box'....It bothered me also so I put a thin wash cloth on the bottom under the bowl and firmly pressed the bowl down....works like a charm! As for the sides of the bowl...not to worry...even Martha Stewart has to scrape down the sides of her KA! Now...for the difference in the price of the two, I have no problem with a small incovenience and compromise! If you have money to burn then by all means go for the KA...however the Hamilton Beach works great for me. I couldn't be more pleased. By the way....did I mention that I am 77 years old?! One never gets to old to learn! THANKS HAMILTON BEACH FOR A SUPERB STAND MIXER!
for home medium use it's all the stand mixer you need my KitchenAid gear box stripped out but this beast came from my grandma's bakery it had a long hard life before I inherited it
This mixer met all of my requirements. It's powerful and functional, has proper attachments, but is light enough for me to lift by myself.
The mixer overall is good. Unless you're making big batches, it's a 4 quart so it can't be used for large quantities. The attachments it comes with work nicely, however I've used it about 5 or 6 times and one of the attachments has noticeable scratches on the bottom already. The mixer works well and makes things go by a lot faster. The only thing I'm dissatisfied with is the splash guard for the bowl that it comes with. No matter how I put it on the bowl something always flies out. The guard is shaped in a strange U shape that goes over the bowl and my counter always ends up getting flour or sugar on it. If you don't mind cleaning up the mess it makes then it's a good choice. It also has suction cups on the bottom of the mixer which helps keep it in place. I enjoy my mixer quite a lot, just wish it didn't throw flour or sugar at me.
I tried the mixer for the first time the day after I picked it up from the store. I like the fact that it has suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving during the mixing process. I wish the bowl was just a little bigger. I like the splash guard. For the price it does the job.
The bowl is made of plastic and it showed in the pic that it's made of stainless steel. That is very deceptive
I bought 2 months ago but it was already broken I threw away the box so I can return it not everything that's on sale NO POWER I can't take a picture
Absolutely horrible, mixing cake batter, mixer jumps, would not get lumps out of batter, the arm on mixer jumps when mixing eggs, poor quality, will be returning
